@nolanwomble I put up a few posts on Jeep forums looking for the rear seat from a two-door JK. I ended up finding one near me for $300-$400 from a local Jeeper.
@nolanwomble. Can you please tell me the brand of seat that you purchased? Im looking on line and i've found a few but they don't have the dimensions. Can you please help? Thank you.
@nolanwomble Yes, I bought the rear seat out of a two-door 2007-2012 jeep wrangler. This is the only seat that fits the TeraFlex third row bracket that I used in this video.
@JKUSing2010 No, but I was looking into installing two lap belts. The factory seatbelts would only work if there were a roll bar farther back to mount them to... which adding one could work too.
@melawynne 1. Once you get the inside air down to temp you'll be fine but you may want to use the remote start to get a jump on the cooling process before getting in the Jeep.
2. I have doubts about the legality of driving on the streets using the third row. I have done it but only short drives. The main issue will be how to mount the seat belts. The factory belts mount to the rear roll bar which back there, there is none.
@Truth939 I never did add the seat belts but I was going to install two lap belts attaching them to the seat or bolting to the frame below the seat. in the extreme case a rear sport cage may add a mounting location for the stock rear two-door belts.
@gixxer151 It is likely that the brackets are built into the two-door Jeep and could not be removed to use in this application. But... I don't know for sure. Any care to comment?
@ForteIIV I have sat back there and enjoyed it but two adults may be a little crowded. The center of the middle row is connected to the seat next to it so you would have to remove(unbolt) a side seat too
I gotta be honest. I own and unlimited JK and I have friends that physically don't have enough legroom in the factory back seat. Unless the kids are under 6 years old, there's no way anyone could fit in the third row. Great idea, but just not sure of the practicality of it.
@hyper0mega I rode in the third row last night and Yes, it is snug but it is a great way to get more then Five people from A to B. I felt comfortable back there. But others may not feel the same.
@HedgehogOutdoors I can see how that would be an issue. When i got mine a four-door was suggested if I ever planned on having kids in the future so that I would not have to sell it to fit a car seat. Food for thought. My buddy is selling his 06 wrangler under bluebook FYI.
@sacapture The spacing on this bracket is made for the rear seat out of a two-door JK jeep. The seat can be swapped to face forward or back at any time. It also folds and tumbles for storage.
Hey, this was great! Thanks for this vid. Can you tell us more about how you made the nutsert tool and a demo on how it works? Also, why were the nuts coated with silicone?
I have a 2007 jeep wrangler. I want to install a 3rd row....Where did you buy the seat & how much was it?

Did you ever install a seat belt? That is the point that I am at!

Hey, We are considering a 4door Wranger and adding a third row. Anyone that has done this, let me ask you a couple questions.
1. What about the A/C? Does the factory air cool all the way back there?
2. Does anyone use this set up as a daily mode? We have 5 kids but the minivan idea is killing me!

Sorry man. Do they have 4x4 mini vans?

This was great, i followed your process and got my seat installed. What did you use for seat belts? How did you install the seat belts?

If you are using a rear seat from a 2 door jk could you use the brackets from the same 2 door Jk instead of the Teraflex ?
Thank you !

Can adults fit in that third row seat? and can I fold down, or remove the center seat in the second row, on any wranglers?

Way too cool! Where did you get the seats from?
HeliRy 7 months ago
@HeliRy The seats are the third row out of a two-door jeep.
NEWEREJK 7 months ago
I'm not a big fan of the 4 door Wranglers, but that is cool having the ability to do that!

@HedgehogOutdoors Thanks to you two-door owner out there I was able to get a row of seats to put back there.

@NEWEREJK Well, I'm only 15 so unless it's an absolute shitbox, I can't afford it haha. Thanks for the offer, though.

@USAWGreco I'll see what I can do! And I'm guessing TeraFlexhas us add the silicone as rust or water protection for the freshly drilled holes.
