@wanderingbillyboy Whilst I have contempt for Brooks, don't be so naive as to believe that the police wouldn't arrest someone purely to protect themselves/make it look as if they are on top of things, particularly when they are linked to this scandal as well. She was questioned for 10 hours and not charged, so they don't have any or enough evidence. Let alone her being convicted by a court. Innocent until proven guilty, I think. Don't get carried away. Try to retain balance.

I suspect this has something to do with the Murdochs (Rupert & James) U-turn decision yesterday to face the government committee next week and this must have made her realise that her job wasn't worth hanging on for so long.

Not fair to say she should be sacked for not knowing what was going on. Modern managers don't know whats going on.
