  • I would die if i heard that many radars going off in my car lmao

  • Cute to see they communicate to each other :)

  • Excellent video, what kind of camera did you use to capture this video? I'm looking at dash cams but haven't found a good option yet :\

  • I would throw that possessed demon out the window... XD Just kidding.

  • Looks like they're out shopping for donuts.

  • if you put the Whister on the dashboard, it should work just as well right?

  • @daami123

while I have come to appreciate the benefits of higher mounting over a lower one to improve that potential alerting range in certain encounters, as long as a dash mounted detector is not obstructed by the windshield wipers and has a clear line-of-sight ahead, the performance between a mid-mount and low-mounted detector, I would expect would be quite similar. I do believe mounting a detector lower would help in improving detection ability to laser.

  • @daami123

Provided it is not blocked by anything (such as your windshield wiper blades)

  • @daami123 it will work just as well unless the cop is downhill from you in which case the rays would have to travel through your engine block which i dont think will work very well. i wouldnt trust it

  • Why isnt the Whistler XTR-695SE goin nutso like the others?

  • Curious, were you limiting the Ka Band on the STI-r to specific segments with these tests or was it scanning the whole Superwide-Ka?

  • its not Hammonton, that you are driving through, it is Hamilton, NJ Atlantic county.

  • @njtpsarge

Yes, my apologizes and I have revised the video description. I believe, these folks are part of the Mays Landing police department.

  • I got myself a 695se and i wish i was getting these kinds of results. It seems like my detector only goes off it the cop is 25yards away. I have mine mounted higher in my car just below the rear view mirror, i figured this would be best for radar; especially when cresting a hill. Overall, i have been disappointed with the 695se so far.

  • Great video! I believe mounting low is best because officers are trained to aim the laser radar at your headlights or grill. I don't believe it makes much of a diff for radar.

  • nice bmw not sti

  • @MrTecforall He never said it was..

  • I wouldn't say the second leo was running I/O... he probably had it on constant on then realized that he had it on and then turned it off. Reason I say that is that the XTR doesn't do very well with I/O in my experiences.

  • is there any way you can turn that shit down

  • that would drive me in fucking sane.

  • so which is better the xtr 690 or the 695??

  • performance-wise, identical.

  • and 2k radar detectors like the 9500ci and stir aren't real radar detectors? I think the point of this video was to show the new technology whistler has come out with to compete with high standards bel and escort have set. minus the redline, the two remote mounted detectors he has are the two top performing radar detectors by bel and escort. 9500ix, 8500x50 and gx65 have nothing on the 9500ci and sti-r

  • none of them they are garbage

  • the sound like nintendo game !

  • sorry if this is ignorant, but if im passing a speed camera parked on the side of the road, will the passport 9500ci scramble it and stop it from getting a speed detection on me?

  • No, it will alert you to the location of fixed redlight and speed cameras only. The 9500ci does come with Zr3 laser jammers I believe.

  • How about doing this again, but just with.

    Passport 9500ci & Sti-R nothing else.

  • Nice how the Whistler doesn't increase intensity until you actually get close to the radar unit. That would drive me nuts having to deal with that noise for so long.

  • Wasn't Hammonton Police, that was Hamilton Police.

  • @guido7467

Yes, my apologizes and I have revised the video description. I believe, these folks are part of the Mays Landing police department.

  • And high 2 see over the horizon. U want 2 get scatter that's the point

  • You mount high. If you get laser HITTING license plate 2 late

  • Trex that is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a while.

  • hey when was this video taken and where? i swear i think i just saw my dad trailer pass u lol @ 2:13

  • I notice you always mount low on ur detectors.

what should i do low or high? I have a 690SE. I have just put it low for now, because I don't want the cord hanging down from behind the mirror. I read about the hardwire kit, but my fuse box is not inside the car.

  • High is better for Radar..Low is better for Laser..

  • @sniper4usmc

If high is so advantageous then explain why the remote units whose antenna are lower than all dash mounted models are so f**** awesome (as shown in this video). At 34.7GHz radio waves are not moving like a rain band, they are bouncing like ping pong balls and so height has very little if any effect.

  • @createcoms wat a noob!!!..I was talking about window mounted RDs,and u come ask me about Remote unit.....

  • @sniper4usmc Is that the best insult you can deliver? Who is the n00b now eh? Also, english must be your 2nd or 10th language because I wasn't asking you anything - there is a thing called a rhetorical question, you should learn about this.

  • @createcoms google "radar detector where to mount",yes English is my 3rd language..saludar a la madre para mí

  • Mount it low. Laser is hard to pick up. If you mount it high there is a greater chance it will not pick up the laser because the police aim at your front plate or headlamp. The beam at 1000' is only 3' wide. So if mounted high beam may not hit detector.

  • no ones hands are that steady.

  • does that get fucking annoying after a while?

  • LOL

  • allsome detection dude

  • don't u mean 'awesome'? lol
