I want to turbo it but im afraid it wont last bc the engine will redline to long with the quicker pickup from the turbo. What can i do, without dynoing at this point, to change my shift points.

Hi there, I love what you've done to your focus. I'm seriously cosidering buying a 2.0 zetec and putting a turbo on it, can you tell me how hard this would be? and roughly how much it would cost me?
The dyno chart is at the wheels on a DynoJet 224x dynometer and that is SAE corrected. Everything internally in the engine is stock. It has 60lb injectors, aftermarket clutch, and it was tuned by us at Top Speed in Winterville, NC.

@guitarsofthegods A Zetec stock rotating assembly will handle 400+ HP reliably. It's a proven fact, been done many time over.

@ROTTINGDEAD your best bet for an automatic is to go supercharger. turbochargers work alot better with manual trannsmitions.. :D

The rods are supposed to be good for 230hp
Head flows good up to 270hp
But the minimum is uprated ARP conrod bolts and some forged pistons. Its a great testament to the strength of the zetec though.

rr read out is 265bhp, prob at the flywheel. if it isnt credit to your piston and rods. clutch? injectors? ecu/pcm?

dude did you not see the "WHP" after the number? WHEEL horsepower....bhp means BRAKE horsepower, usually measured at flywheel.
