  • I want that kit for my ZX2. :PPP Right now with my little mods i have about 160 hp to the wheels and that is with stock header and cat, i know this kit will work for my zx2, i should get in touch with these guy's and do my 03 z turbo build. LSD + Turbo + ZETEC VCT + ZX2 (2250 Lb) = 11.3 1/4 time. only takes money. good sound

  • @guitarsofthegods  A Zetec stock rotating assembly will handle 400+ HP reliably. It's a proven fact, been done many time over.

  • Ha, I like how you all are saying what a waste of time and money this is. And that his engine is going to blow. Yet this video was posted up buy a performance shop that custom fabs their own turbo kits and exhaust. Oh, I think this car is making close to 600 whp now?

  • i have a 03 ford focus AT. When i accelerate really hard... it hesitates then kicks in, and red lines really bad. I want to turbo it but im afraid it wont last bc the engine will redline to long with the quicker pickup from the turbo. What can i do, without dynoing at this point, to change my shift points.

  • @ROTTINGDEAD your best bet for an automatic is to go supercharger. turbochargers work alot better with manual trannsmitions.. :D

  • ive got a zetec 1.6 wat is the 0 - 60 on this and would a 1.6 2002 model be able to handle the turbo kit and how much would it cost cos thats amazing watchin a zetec go that fast

  • Nice video man! Thats crazy power for a Zetec. I drive a ZX2 with the Zetec engine and Ive always been told 230hp is the maxt before the rods take crap. And generally at or around the hp most ppl blow there motors. Whats the deal with that?

    The rods are supposed to be good for 230hp

    Head flows good up to 270hp

    But the minimum is uprated ARP conrod bolts and some forged pistons. Its a great testament to the strength of the zetec though.

  • Hi there, I love what you've done to your focus. I'm seriously cosidering buying a 2.0 zetec and putting a turbo on it, can you tell me how hard this would be? and roughly how much it would cost me?

  • Its been going for a year, and is daily driven.

  • rr read out is 265bhp, prob at the flywheel. if it isnt credit to your piston and rods. clutch? injectors? ecu/pcm?

  • The dyno chart is at the wheels on a DynoJet 224x dynometer and that is SAE corrected. Everything internally in the engine is stock. It has 60lb injectors, aftermarket clutch, and it was tuned by us at Top Speed in Winterville, NC.

    That's not bhp, check it again.

  • dude did you not see the "WHP" after the number? WHEEL horsepower....bhp means BRAKE horsepower, usually measured at flywheel.

    the car made 340whp/wtq on the stock motor, now it make 560whp 430wtq

    Now it makes 560whp 435wtq
