@wezman2k - i think there's an audience, the better question is are there still bands like this that can stay together for more than a few shows? either way, this bass player is awesome. fucking fabulous in the cows then went on to freak people out in the melvins.
Yeah these guys did put on an awesome live show. They opened for Primus at the 9:30 club in '94. Except instead of a hot dog, he ate a banana that he pulled out of his pants during the whole first song and then preceded to feed it to some dude in the front row. He's got some crazy eyes that makes you think he's staring at you and only you the whole show.
@BluesNatural They did play "Cabin Man" on their last tour. The album wasn't out yet so no one knew the song. I heard them doing it but I was in the other room, not watching. I was like "Man he's been talking through this whole song." but still never made it in. Honestly the set was good not great, you could tell they weren't as into it as they used to be and I wasn't surprised they broke up soon after. But according to people who were in the room "Cabin Man" was the highlight.
saw them once. he wore a sailor uniform with the little hat & shit. one song he sung while standing on his head. at one point, he walked down the street & ate a hot dog while the band did a "solo" for ten minutes. weird, but fucking awesome.
@KP5000 was that the show at the old black cat in DC around 1998? i think it is and i was there! great show. incredible. set the bar for shows that i don't think any band (save ween) has met!

@hugo0tter
it was in orlando at the sapphire supper club, actually. the year sounds right.
i've noticed with some bands, if you see em more than once on the same tour, you'll see the same goofy stunts, hear the same lame jokes, etc.
