hehehe, im an engineer at pentax cebu, it really puts a smile on my face when this model gets many positive feed backs, this camera had so many problems during its pre production state, good thing it turned out gud.. watch out for the next series of this model coming this year, modell 77430 camera pentax k-r..
@jakopriit sorry i meant k-5.. hehehe.. sorry but im not all too familiar with the product name only the model name, 77430... also check out the next series for 77310 the new 77420 camera having not just 100 color variance but 1000 colors!!..
The camera can shoot 5 fps, that doesn't mean that you have to use a Tv of 1/5, righ!?
You can set thu Tv to 1/8000 and still shoot 5 fps (or 30 fps in a movie, NOTE: I don't know if the k-7 uses a "rolling shutter" or not, so there might not be a Tv when in movie-mode..).
According to what I've read it will at least have Aperture priority while in movie-mode, which means that you can alter the aperture and so the DOF during the movie...
Ah.. now I see about the meaning of shutter priority in movie! This is the answer I expected. Thanks Mr Chisol.
I would like to know also what the benefit of shutter priority in movie is. Imagine that we have set the Tv to 1/8000, but the movie rate is still 30 fps. Does it affect the movie quality, e.g. compared to Tv 1/100?
Also the maximum Tv is 1/30, otherwise the fps will drop. But perhaps this is also nice feature to have.
One benefit would be exposure control... If you want a small DOF you use a large Aperture (say f2.8) and you then need to use a faster shutterspeed (say 1/125) or lower ISO to not overexpose.
And then if you want a larger DOF, you need a a smaller aperture (say f8), but then you need to compensate by setting the Tv to 1/1000).
On the other hand, you might get some interesting effects by changing the Tv (to even lower then 1/30, but then with a lower fps...)
Right, we control DOF from Av mode instead of Tv mode. That's what normally I do and that's why earlier I wrote that Tv mode does not make sense for movie. But then I realized we can use Tv mode for low frame rate.
w我用的就是K7~

Nice video and beautiful music. This video is taken with the K-7 for sure, because of the shutter sound effect they added in some parts.

Considering they credited the video footage they used at the end...it wasn't shot with a K-7.

This wasn't actually shot with the K7 was it? How did they get the zoom so smooth?

of course not, it's not stuttering with a rapidly changing wb and ISO LOL.
This is just stock footage people buy for commercials...

it is classic.
and i would like shutter priority mode on movie.
please PENTAX.

What do you mean with shutter priority? The movie speed is 30 frame per second. Equals Tv = 1/30.
If it has shutter priority mode, does it mean the video will slows down?

... (I guess the camera then changes either the Tv [if it exists in movie-mode, but something like it should exist] or the sensitivity).
I'm longing for this camera, can't wait til I get one in my hands...
Have a nice day!

I know camera. I have dslr too.
But it doesn't make sense for me a movie to have shutter priority. Or can you give reference to a video camera with shutter priority?
