im so annoyed.. my mum isnt budging at all! I cant go for 3 reasons. the first- teh stupid idiots that are fucking rioting for no reason. number 2- i have no one in my group of friends that are as obbsessed with youtube as me so i would be going alone. and number 3- my mum's a cow. (and i dont mean that in the, "im a teenager and because of that i hate my mum" kind of way) :'(
@pinkestangel I am sorry to hear this, The riots apear to be calming down now and even at there height during the day most people were just going around as if nothing happened. Were you planning on staying in London or going and coming back on the same day. Either way once you got there you'd likely be perfectly safe within the crowd of people. :(

If anyone is still concerned when they are at the event, I'd leave at 4 or 5. All the riots have happened in the evening. Leaving just before 6, one would be fine. I intended to leave at that time anyway, not I have justification.

@VegetarianFound Yes Vidcon in Los Angeles. This years one has just gone but subscribe to the vlogbrothers, they are the organisers and also probably the some of the best people I've ever come across on You Tube.
@VegetarianFound Summer in the City is a very large (Probably the largest) You tube gathering in England possibly even the whole of Europe, there are over 1600 people confirmed on the facebook page as going. I made this because several of my friends said they were worried about going because of the riots that are happening at the moment.

I think you kinda missed the point of IRL disclaimers, seeing as you only really said one thing about what you will actually *be like* in a real life situation as opposed to how you come off in videos... but that's being pedantic, the rest about being defiant and not giving in was well said. I'm nearly 25 (as you know) & my mum still said "you're not going to London again until this is over!" Didn't mention I was hoping to visit a friend next weekend, but it'll probably be calmer by then anyway!
@hitmewithacliche I'm sure it will have calmed down by then. Like I said I can understand the feelings people have about it but at the same time I think its just as important to go about our business inspite of it all.
