And acrobatics do NOT make a better fighter out of you at all.

This is not in the spirit of martial arts. They would make great guy cheerleaders I think though..

I'm a tricker and i do kicks. When i do them, some of my friends always tell me, that they would never like to fight me, even though i always tell them that i will never be able to use them in a real fight xD and i would probably get my ass kicked ^^

Not everyone who do those kicks think they can fight :) We just love doing it. But i see what you are trying to tell there ^^

@NinjaOfTheDarkz Oh my God you need to be enlightened... Boxers only use one possibility of a weapon, wheras there are also elbows, feet, knees, heels, shoulders, palms, heads and hips (for throws). Also there is standing and ground grappling. Think about it this way, Taekwondo uses more than one weapon, boxing doesn't.

It really depends on individual but this is one the hardest kicks to get it right. If you are fit teenage black belt, it'll take you about 6 months.

Common mistakes will include throwing a crescent kick instead of hook kick, and I think this is one of the hardest problem to fix.

And not "jumping" enough will always be the biggest problem. But it's really not the jump itself but the timing. Timing your jump with ground spinning + kicking up with one leg + pushing up with the other.

i learnt it perfectly in 6 months, after i became a black belt. learn this kick! because, besides being able to perform this kick, it'll totally improve your body control and you'll improve many ordinary kicks as the hook kick (mondolio tchagi or somethin') and, most of all, you'll be one of the few black belts who can perform this kick!
