looks like you just need to change the settings, turn off inverted y axis and all that junk...You can probably change the sensitivity too. (I don't know for sure, never bought the game) but i bet theres an "Options" menu.

i hate games where you die and they just start you over with no checkpoints, and the reason you cant pick up the gun is because you didnt read the the little blip in the left side of your screen that told you to press square. and as for your "invert-look" try going to controls and switch it to normal, should be in controller options.

Honsestly, this game wasn't THAT bad. Controlling it is the bad part tho. The people you try to shoot always move faster than the camera does so u miss heaps, unless they're standing still.

If your a 50 cent fan then buy this game coz in that case you'll love it.
