at my game the elevator isn´t even there.... when i put the gear in there, i pull the lever and it never arrives.

Elevators have been buggy ever since Half-Life 1. It has gotten better, but with all the complex physics stuff, there's just so many things that can go wrong.

I have a similar glitch to this. I'll step into the elevator with the Vort, but the moment it starts going up, I just... drop dead. This has only happened since the Steam Mac Update. I have no fucking idea what causes it, because there's nothing blocking my way. :<

@TheFlexlite ther should some pond thing on the opposit direction of the gearbox and in there you find the same generator thing you take it out with gravity gun

this is not a bug, valve put a "entity clip" there on purpose, so you won't jam the elevator door with props

You torrented a pirated version of the game. Sorry, cant help you there.

I'd advise you google the name of said torrent then fix after it. Like: "HL2EP2 STEAMLESS CRACKED!!1!! Fix" or whatever it was called.

They are missing textures.Missing textures shows up and purple and black checkerboards. Stop playing nosteam/standalones.

If u do use steam, validate it and see if it's 100% complete.

Oh, so i'm not the only one to find that bug.. But when i did it, i didnt die, the vortigaunt just got to the end of the scene and did nothing more.
