I also downloaded Bulgarian music from Amazon. Balkan music emphasizes the beat on odd meters. It a bit hard on my westernized ears but the more I listen the more I can hear it in Szabo's work.

I've been listening to more world music to expand my listening abilities.

Same here - I first heard some of the tracks on Voice of America Jazz Hour in 1966.

Raga Doll has always been my fave track.
