@CBeliever You'd be surprised to learn that Richards wanted it badly too,he was just pissed of that the queen couldn't give a knighthood to an unreformed junky. He would've found it the ultimate big joke ,and victory over the establishment ,that he (an outlaw junky) could've been knighted. The reason Jagger accepted ,was so he could give the middle finger to all those currupt police officials that almost hounded the band into extinction,and by proxy caused the downfall of Brian Jones.
