@Prissdriver they toured the last album for 3 years, and said they've been writing constantly throughout, so they just picked their favourites, so most of them they've had for over a year

I knew him a few years ago, when my best friend/roommate dated the old bass player for Perfect Confusion. We weren't close or anything but I did hang out with Matt and the rest of the band a number of times. My friend always dragged me to their shows and we'd go to parties and stuff with them too. Bowling Green is a small college town. It was hard not know those guys.

It seems like they have a theme of writing songs about their influences, and then making them the second song on their album. James Brown had that driving piano that was reminiscent of soul-rock. Now they have Aberdeen, which is very Pixies-Nirvana-esque, also placed as their second track. Theme?

Cage the Elephant came to my hometown, and I was iffy about seeing them, but I'm glad that I did. These guys are amazing live. They have so much energy that I wish they would bring into their studio album.
