as much as I hate to rain on your parade, mister bob, I feel obligated to inform you that in times of economic downturn, government spending can create jobs and jump start the economy, the government can then ease off, let it flourish and reap the benefits through taxation, thus ridding us of the deficit. that's how it works. it's not as simple as "less government, rawr!"
