  • This is what he DID look like. He is based on a Baldwin 4-6-0 World War 1 locomotive that worked on the Welsh Highland Railway, and was No. 590. It was very bouncy, and often derailed, so it was scrapped

  • the funny thing about this engine in thomas the tank he got scrapped and they never do that in thomas the tank lol

  • The Mid-Sodor Stanley would have been televised, but he was replaced by Smudger. Man, I hate it when they make a movie or a show that's different from the book! It's really annoying!

I think the reason why the Mid-Sodor Stanley was not televised because Britt Allcroft did not know what he really looked like, so instead, they used Smudger.

  • @ThomasRules8391: Yes, that does make a lot of sense. All we had of Stanley's pictures was a generator and him playing hide-and-seek. Not much to look at.

  • @Nictrain123 Actually, it would've been for the same reason that many one off characters weren't introduced. Budget, HiT could get away with making all of these models because they had a higher budget. Britt Alcroft didn't

  • nice one
