I don't understand why making people with glasses and speech impediments look pathetic is funny. Schaddenfreude (enjoyment from the misery of others) never ceases to amaze me. Next thing you know people will be laughing at starving people in Africa.
... no. just no. i WEAR glasses and this is funny. its just a clip on the internet.
no no no, my friend, you are the crying drama queen. "boohoo! dont laugh at people who's glasses get stomped on! its the same as laughing at people dying of disease, famine and dysentery!"
if you can say that and say youre not drama, then sadly maybe youre just stupid. =-( ive seen it happen on the internet once or twice before.
"Am I the only person to find this fucking hilarious?"
No, as a matter of fact I always LMAO when some poor blind bastard gets his glasses stomped on. The sound of the lenses crunching under foot is intoxicating. I think the Woody Allen movie "Take the money and run" was a laugh riot. He was always at the mercy of someone intent on crushing his glasses into crumbs. I find it fucking hilarious even though I wear thick RX glasses myself. And no, I wouldn't care if someone
@coffeeintheface I was hoping that Brendan Fraser would be the one to smash those glasses wearing those totally hot knee high boots! Mummy chasing me or not, I'd have tossed my glasses in the sand just to watch that stud and his boots destroy them, LOL!!
its weird though he is blind as hell without his glasses but yet the mummy took his eyes wouldn't u think he would be blined without glasses too since he has his eyes? lol!!!
Yeah, lol. Should've taken eyes that worked. Or at least gotten the glasses too, if Beni hadn't stepped on 'em. lol, imagine the regenerating Imhotep wearing glasses.
Actually, that happened in the original script: Burns tells Imhotep where his spare glasses are (as the mummy was in disguise and Burns remarked that he wouldn't need his glasses anymore) and Imhotep puts them on and resumes killing Burns.
But it seems to me that you'd find the novelisation just as funny: after Burns loses his eyes and is faced with the mummy in disguise (the scene where Burns spills the tea cup), the funniest line was added (shown here free of speech impediment, as was written in the book): "Sorry, eyes aren't what they used to be".
Haha. I actually thought it was kind of disturbing when his eyes got taken out. I honestly felt bad for him. But the whole thing about him being blind without glasses is just funny as hell, probably because I too am blind without my glasses!
I just love on the boat when he says he can't see the deck of cards without his glasses. They're IN his hand, like 6 inches from his face!
@coffeeintheface Yeh, I'm 20/20 and when I met my partner who has -6 vision, he couldn't see I was wearing HIS glasses though less than a metre away, never realised his sight was so poor till then. He'd barely see cards in front of his face either or least not see what was on them, has to read 1cm fonts on phone if without glasses, from just 2 cm away... hope I'm around if he ever loses them, to help. I'd be terrified to have vision like that, sorry for anyone who does.
I know it's fiction but I find this a very sad moment and i feel sorry for burns

Yes, the mummy got Burns' bad eyesight once he took his eyes, why else do you think he squinted at Evelyn and thought she was someone else?
