Gwen Ifill can't afford to "kick Sarah Palin's butt." A) Her book portrays Sen. Obama in a very positive light and B) it comes out on Inauguration Day, so sales will be significantly higher if Sen. Obama wins. She has to be as objective as possible, because with Sen. Biden's gaffs, any indication that Ifill is biased will be used by the McCain campaign to their advantage. Besides, the way people have been portraying Sarah Palin, she just has to speak in coherent sentences to win the debate.

according to the news I heard the other day, she hasn't even written the chapter about Obama yet, so calling it a book favorable to Obama is just an assumption on McCain's part, and that assumption is that a black woman will write favorably about a black politician because of race. On top of the fact that McCain is talking about a chapter that doesn't apparently exist yet, so he cannot have reviewed it for content, pro or anti. So much for 100% truth.
