  • I want one so I can convert the rear view system into a HUD.

  • Never buy a helmet that dosent have double D ring fasteners

  • @mthoma3 I agree!

  • @mthoma3 My helmet has the double D rings, but I installed a quick-release buckle, which bypasses them. It's far more convenient, and the company that manufactured it claims that it can hold thousands of pounds. Is this unsafe? If so, why? Thanks.

  • @ScottsUtubeWorld I don't know if it's safe or not. But the double D-ring system is lightweight, has a very thin profile, is infinitely adjustable and has been proven for many years. It's an elegant design with no moving parts. It far outweighs any "quick release" advantage. Ask yourself this: which chin strap retainer system is used by motorcycle racers, who depend on their gear for safety? There's your answer.

  • this is the Exact system that i desiged over 20 years ago, but didnt follow up with cos the field of vision would be to restricted for the rider, its far more effective to use a flexiable lightweight mirrored plastic mirror, like an internal wing mirror, and route it throught he helmet using optical grade fibre optics, that way you dont have a heavey mirror system inside the helmet, and you can bend the optics packs around the inside of the helmet without restrictions :)

  • getting one for christmas =)

  • but how can u see through the back glass if your head blocks it?

  • @MrMuscleMacho Read the webBikeWorld review to learn all about it!

  • eyes on the back of your head =O

  • Since i have hard time finding a comfortable angle on the normal mirrors...i can get this and get mirror blocks...hmmmm, will it still pass inspection???

  • @mistadj It's ECE approved and there is a DOT version also, so it's perfectly legal.

  • @wbwvids I mean if the bike would pass inspection with mirror blocks

  • @mistadj The bike would definitely still need mirrors as required by law.

  • @wbwvids not in greece dood! :p :p

  • Hi I was the lucky winner of the reevu helmet

I have found this helmet mirror system a great safety aid, at first is was a bit strange looking up into the mirror but after a few rides you get used to it, it dosen't give a 100% clear image like a car mirror mainly due to the size but does give a good excellent view of the road behind fills the gap between your bike mirrors excellent in traffic you will still need to do life savers.

The build quality is excellent, looks great in Black Matt

  • DOT helmet is available to ship and the contact site will be sent to all of the motorcyclists who have contacted Reevu from the USA. As soon as the SITE goes live

  • So cool, i had this idea like 6 months ago, i like the design and it looks pretty comfy

  • this is going to be my next helmet can you see it in a go cart lol no need for mirrors lol

  • That's so cool. Looks like a good helmet.

  • £249 = $393 USD (a bit high) but it seems like well worth the price for the features.

  • can i have one in red

  • How much? In U.S. dollars!

  • Read the full webBikeWorld review for all the details.

  • これからもよろしく

  • Great reviews! As a suggestion, I'd add a direct link to the review page on the youtube description. Going to the website and digging through the reviews to find the specific one is sort of discouraging compared to just clicking on the link.

  • Thanks - The direct link to the review is and has been right in the description since the beginning!

  • @wbwvids Oh sorry! I must have not realised that!

  • thanks for your videos...please tell me your opinion on car headlights, do they annoy/distract you? how does it work at night time?

i wonder if they have plans for a flip type

  • @GBJ83 The system helmet is already designed and awaiting production

Should not be long until System and Jet helmet are available

  • Headlights not a bother, this is discussed in the full review on webBikeWorld.

  • Looks like a fantastic product to me and if it is ECE2205 its Road Legal in most industrial parts of the World

  • I just learned the original sample version in 2005 was not submitted for AS or DOT approval, but the new version reviewed on webBikeWorld and featured in this review is currently undergoing testing. It was designed to meet all worldwide standards and currently meets ECE standards, so it should have no problem meeting AS standards also. We'll have more updates on this in the full review on webBikeWorld as the details become available.

  • illegal in australia

  • @georgekizzie. Rubbish it will be going through testing in the next few weeks

  • See above, the helmet is currently undergoing both DOT and AS testing for use in the U.S. and Australia.

  • I love it, and actually thought of a similar idea for cars, particularly low sports cars who don't have much of a view through the back. You have a mirror system inside with a periscope-type mirror extending through the roof. Of course this sounds bulky but I'm meaning it to be streamlined and aerodynamic, only adding 2 inches or so to the height, by maybe 10" wide.

  • does it have flip down, sunglasses?

  • No.

  • how much is it for $ ?

    thanks

  • All of the specs, details and pricing info are in the full webBikeWorld review.

  • @BDogMillionaire Agreed, to be honest I first thought it was a camera system with a little monitor. When he actually showed it. I dont see how it works

  • Read the full review on webBikeWorld, there are more details there.

  • YAY I WANT A TANK ON MY HEAD

  • @BDogMillionaire Once you get used to the helmet, it does take a while. maybe a couple of hours, you dont, look into the optic system. It works by you using your peripheral vision. Look at the Reevu promo on you tube it explains more. This isn't any ordinary helmet and will take a while to get used too. The best comment comes from the people who have the helmet,

  • If you need this rear view thing in your helmet that means you are not fast enough... :) otherwise why do you want to watch what's happening behind you, just go faster simple is that!!

  • Hmmm...interesting theory, makes sense to me!

  • @hzolii If someone is coming even faster from the behind (passing), you will be hit by him, if you're not passing quite as fast.

  • OK, you guys are thinking much too seriously about this! ;-)

  • I'm sure its heavy!

  • pretty cool idea

such that they are able to make it work

  • so..assume there's a H.I.D. lights flashes directly behind u..isn't that gonna be troublesome? or does this rearview got these bright light reduction tech thingy like those in the Lux. cars..

  • Covered in the full review on webBikeWorld.

  • well, I guess I can share now.

I swear to you %100 I was trying to invent a helmet with a built in rearview mirror system a year ago. I even made a 'test' helmet using my old Shoei when I purchased my new helmet. The only thing (according to a buddy of mine) was getting it DOT approved. How to design a helmet that still met all safey guidelines. DAMNIT!

You beat me to the punch. Congratulations. looks good.

  • Reevu developed the helmet back in 2004. The history of this helmet (and our first review in 2005) is on webBikeWorld.

  • Had mine now for just over 2 weeks and it's superb! Great quality helmet and i got used to the rear view vision system very quickly, love it! You really do just become aware of traffic behind you. There is no way i could go back to a normal helmet - my Shoei is now on ebay.

  • @quicktrike09

Where did you purchase this helmet?

  • Again, all of the details and information are in the full webBikeWorld review. These videos are brief overviews designed to supplement the full reviews.

  • @quicktrike09 do you not get a bit distracted and spend too much time looking behind you? i know i would lol

  • I am soooooo buying one of these.

  • LOL someone's trying to change the sound of their voice.

  • Unfortunately, that was the voice I was born with!

  • Great concept and implementation.

  • When I get the money to buy another bike, I'm gonna get one of these too...matte black with orange pin-stripes!

  • o man, this is good

  • Wow, nice jump in video quality, love the review too!

  • Very cool stuff! Can't imagine this being Snell certified...

  • Very innovative idea.

  • is this available for sale in the US?

  • Will be soon -- more details in the full review on webBikeWorld.

  • once again you guys are at the top of your game.this is the only review i know of this very interesting helmet.glad to hear the shell is made from composite fibers

  • Thanks very much! Note that we are using the information from Reevu regarding the helmet shell construction.

  • Now that's cool!
