Man, this song isn't sounding that great live. The solos are lacking, back vocals are sucking, it sounds like they picked me to go there and sing the back vocals, and Hansi changed some things that shouldn't have been changed.

yup, vocals in Blind Guardian are based on many vocal lines - Hansi has his own recorded like 4 or 5 times and the others are singing choral.. so in live he can't sing 4-5 lines all the same, can he :)) that's why it sucks.. to bad

If you notice he often shouts and backs up a ways from the mic, when he is more quiet along with Oliver(bass)and Michael (keyboards) it is a good blend of backups. I rarely see Andre do backups now a days but he is often melting peoples faces with his solos. Rock on fuckers...

First time I heard Blind Guardian was at a party my cousin threw. Listened to Trial By Fire and said, "hey not bad. What's the band called again?" Cousin told me, and I forgot, not really caring at the time. Few weeks later, I'm back at his place and Under The Ice starts playing. All of a sudden I'm hearing, "Remember the Oath! Remember the Oaaaaaaaaaaaaath!" And I'm like, "What? WHAT!?" Been in love with their sound ever since. You Rock Hansi. Don't ever die. I mean, EVER.
