@DevinHolliger He was fighting depression for a while. From the other comments that i have seen. He thought his wife was cheating on him. That's far as i know.

What a sad thing, It is just to bad he didnt get the help he needed, anyone who is thinking about doing this...please get help, if this guy would have gotten on an anti despressiant medication maybe he could have been saved.

Who could have known? I got hooked on the morning show via my girlfriend and I came to love (and still do) the crew. Don was an essential part and I will miss him dearly. Best.Weatherman.Ever. Thanks for the post.

I thought Don did seem a little "off" that day, but it shows how people who are experiencing utter anguish can do their best to perform normally. Please watch out for anyone you know who continually seems a little "off."
Talk to them about what may be bothering them. If you're wrong, and they're just having a few bad days, then Hallelujah! But if you're right, and they're really suffering, you may actually save their life.
Prayers go out to Don's personal and on-air families.
