  • Blimey this brings back memories.

  • That game so such would have deserved a sequel.

  • @KrautGoesWild

There were plans for a sequel, that on turn was scaled down to an expansion called Bioforge Plus which would have had an added section onboard a derelict Reticulum ship, and that project on turn was canceled.

I would like to see a sequel or remake of this game, but not as a different genre like most sequels/remakes these days.

  • i loooooooooooooooooooove it! great! milestone.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Funny ending lol hahaha

  • this game was way ahead of its time. we see ff7 resident evil with smimiliar game engine

  • before that it was "alone in the dark"

    that was the primorial soup!

  • Your dosbox is not configured right... there is no midi music...! the music from bioforge is great... anybody know where can i dowload the ost?

    Great video!

  • I turned it off because it sounded like crap and the game is way more atmospheric without it.

  • try to use dos box with D-Fend

  • No, see, I turned it off because it was crappy, not because it didn't work.

Bioforge, as much as I love the game, did /not/ have good music.

  • Some one should resurrect Bioforge. It is one of the best games I have ever played(Speaking as a 31 year old who's been gaming since he was 4).

Way ahead of its time and I think it's still got more originality than a lot of games made today.

    Classic.

  • Brings tears.. what a magnificent game..

I had managed to let all 4 of the guards, the patient(neither shoot him or took his battery) and caynan alive till the end...

also bioforge is the first game in history using the skeleton type model for depicting the character..

shame they didn't finished the plus..

  • This game should have been a hit! Someone should ressurect bioforge! We want bioforge 2! Mastaba must die!

  • "Limping ain't easy."

  • This game was one of the best ever along with other oldies MSDOS games like GNome, Tera Nova and the orginal Thief Game.

  • motha fucka walks like a 90 year old advanced cancer patient, yet he's able to fly that shit like a ninja!

  • Bioforge had a really neat damage system. As you took damage, it began to show in the way you walked. He's taken a lot of damage here and is doing the "drag your broken leg" walk.

  • what is that noise???

  • Ogm someone make a song out of the guys limping, it would be a awesome song

  • my god.. half the video consists of the guy limping across the screen..the game is already slow enough...

  • Is that the walking noise? It's horrible.

  • This was a MSDOS game very old, and yet it brings good feelings into my heart..

Wonderfull..and great to expierence it once again.

  • fantastic game....

  • Why does the dude walk so slow? And can you tell me briefly what the storyline is?

    Please reply :)

  • He's injured in this particular sequence. Hence the limp.

Basic Storyline: you wake up as a cyborg in a hellish facility on an alien moon. You want to find out who you are, how to escape, and how to get even...

  • A decent sequel or even remake of this game would sell millions. It's a grabber, good story and a good development team = winner.

  • yes, seems like that :(

i wish i could at least have a little chat with its authors about what was the story supposed to go etc :\

  • My favourite game of all time. Wonder what the creators of it are doing now and how its sequel would look and feel with the modern technology.

  • My thoughts too!

  • It's strange - I don't remember the game ending that way.

After the ship flies from the exploded planet it lands/is tractor-beamed into another space ship. Effectively the introduction to "Bioforge Plus" - the cancelled sequel.

  • can anyone confirm this???

how did you manage to have such an ending?

  • I only know this ending although I couldnt remember the those alien stone thingies - what was that again?

  • The ending i always get - i put the battery into the Icarus at the hangar and after that fly away from the planet through the "gravity ring" which i had to clean out of the derbis before (The big room in the alien's city, with flying rocks/asteroids thought it, you have to walk on the cetrain switches to clean the ring out ot them),

  • and then fly out of it to the space, the planet explodes and my ship flyes into the open space. And aftter that are ending credits. But i've never seen any other spaceship around? or landing to other any other spaceship? I'd love if someone could comment on this.

  • terminalblue, you rock for putting this out there. I really loved this game (in an obsessed, annoyed way) when I played it on my PC.

  • yes, any idea about the second ending? i also havent find it.

btw on wikipedia there are plenty of ncie infos about bioforge, also the bioforge 2 was about to been released.

  • There's a second ending, I was told... does anyone know anything? When the battery is too low to support the escape ship, you gotta have a plan B. Wonder, what that one was...

  • yeah i heard that if the battery was 2 low you couldnt use the ship..what would happen?

  • Can anyone confirm there was an alternative method of escape? I discharged the battery too much once and couldn't find anything to do after putting it into the Icarus, so I just assumed the game becomes unwinnable if you do that.

  • I wonder as well. I heard there IS another ending. Tried it many times, never succeeded....

  • able to put the whole game on by segments? it brings back alot of memories :P

  • Holy shit. You actually had to drag his metal ass all the way in the end game bit? ...I forgot how games could kick your ass in submission back in the day...
