@NeilThompson30: I must eh? Oldtimers disease, and my grandfather was born in Mare St and lived in Wick Road, in the Wick, and I went to school in "Ommerton"....
Once I have transfered the original VHS recording of that show that, Jet, played on back in 1994 I will upload it. It was safe to say that, Jet, was under the influence back then and dropped a lot of clangers. A real shame as he was a nice guy.
Ernie Sears played the opening riff and lead guitar parts on the original recording of "Move It". Also, the event, the whole show was mimed.............Jet Harris came back to my fathers house after a show that he had played on that my father had promoted, Jet told us, he was paid £2000+, put up in the London Hilton and recorded his bass parts at, Abbey Rd Studios.
@cristianccm - A friend of my fathers, Nick, was one of the members of the Dallas Boys who also played on the event, he too said that they went in to Abbey Rd studios to record all there vocal parts.
.- Oh Boy show which was 99% mimed (only The Glory Of Love along was recorded live)
.- Cliff´set: was 80% recorded Live.
However I still wondering why Jet Harris and Tony Meehan as musicans accepted to mimed in a so important gig like The Event. It´s very strange but now all those things are part of the history and the stories behind The Event.
@cristianccm this is from the VHS version! watch both the VHS and DVD back to back and on Cliffs set and the vocals are very different!! I think it was live and then dubbed it for VHS!! Why??? who knows!!
I know it doesn't matter really but 'Move it' is so old that it was even before Jet and Tony's time, it was just two mates Cliff had at the time, one was called Samwell or summat.
RIP Jet, and Tony...

Yes I hate to say it but all seems Move it was mimed. However not all the event was mimed and you can check it out on the dvd called the event.
The Cliff´s set was 90% recorded live.

.- Cliff´set: was 80% recorded Live.

Tony looked like he was having a ball here and they dyed Jet's hair blonde like he had in the early 60s
