  • Seyyed Hossein Nasr is a con artist. He has been very silent about the criminal activities of the islamic mafia in Iran, where innocent Iranians are routinely tortured, raped, and murdered by the practitioners of the "peaceful" religion of islam. This apologist has been spreading propaganda for the "peaceful" religion of islam for too long. I'm exposing him here and now.

  • @ZAAL58

Now that he's been exposed with that stack of evidence you provided, helping implicate every other scholar who has "no idea" about the Islamic Mafia, we can rest easy and sleep better knowing nothing changed at all.

  • I don't get the point of thanking god for getting out of a hospital. Wouldn't it make more sense for god to keep you out of the hospital in the first place?

  • @lonelytrixter Yes, it does make more sense indeed. But after it happens, its better to pray in that way. Isn't it?

  • Funny how people thank the same god that put them in hospital for getting them out.

As long as Muslims are killing Muslims over religious issues I don't see a high probability of any reconciliation between Muslims, Jews and Christians. Muhammad taught the dominance of Islam. It is up to the people today to break that ruling from 1400 years ago.

  • I recently read God creates sacred texts to accomplish certain things. What possibilities exist when peacemakers find the one path to peace in holy books. God bless us all!

  • i am not a viscious liar. i only never heard him say kind things about hinduism and buddhism. if you can direct me to his speeches or books where he mentions eastern religion in positive light i will be delighted to read them... i was told that nasr is just like pro-binladen, moslem exclusivist zakir naik, who is a stain to all religion. perhaps i am wrong and nasr is not like naik. i respect christianity and islam and judiasm, so i have no problem with nasr's praise.

  • Peace!

No Nasr is, as said "CountFenrir" and "Baqi66", a "Perennialist" so he's in the line of René Guénon, and respects all religious traditions, because they're all valids.

  • I cannot imagine what you are talking about. In many of his works he speaks of Buddhism and Hinduism positively within his understanding of Perennialism. His focus undoubtedly is on Islam his own religion, and that doesn't mean he gives equal scholarship to all religions (which may be impossible for 1 human being to do fairly anyway!).

  • Read "Religion & the Order of Nature": he talks briefly about all religions and their ideas about nature, ecology, environmentalism. Nothing negative is said of Hinduism or Buddhism; quite the contrary. Why stir up such negativity until you study? This video is about Islam & Christians, it is a focus; it does not exhaust the possibilities of religious dialog, including Hinduism etc.

  • @prasadsuper i understand where you are coming from. perhaps you would like to make your own opinions rather than take or believe what others told you. try reading his "traditional islam" or "man and nature". i am just taking note of your "i was told that nasr is just like pro-binladen, moslem exclusivist zakir naik,..."

  • Nasr always talks about how Christians and Muslims can get along but notice how he leaves out other religions. Why do I sense that he is bigoted against Hindus like me? Buddhists? He really thinks we're scum. Well, it is Nasr's religion that is illogical. For a scholarly guy he is quite naive, isn't he?

  • Are you paranoid or just ignorant? Mr. Nasr is a Perennialist, so he knows that Hinduism and Buddhism are just as valid as the other religions. The only reason he is so focused on Islam and Christianity is because this conflict is the major religious issue of the 21st century (in the West). There is nothing naive or illogical about him or his religion. And please provide a source where he called either Hindus or Buddhists "scum". If you can't, I will conclude you are nothing but a vicious liar.

  • In his introduction to the translation of Ayatollah Tabatabai´s "Shi´a Islam" Nasr did mention how he studied mystical texts of Taoism, Hinduism etc. under Ayatollah Tabatabai and on other occasions has expressed high respect for these traditions.

Also, other former students of Ayatollah Tabatabai like Toshihiko Izutsu and Sachiko Murata have done a lot work to positively compare e.g. East Asian and Muslim thought and Nasr hasbeen in contact and close cooperation with them, as far as I know.

  • IN THE NAME OF GOD, THE MOST GRACIOUS, THE DISPENSER OF GRACE "Verily, as for those who have attained to faith in this divine writ, and those who follow the Jewish faith, and the Sabians, and the Christians, and the Magians, on the one hand, and those who are bent on ascribing divinity to aught but God, on the other verily, God will decide between them on Resurrection Day: for, behold, God is witness unto everything." (Holy Qur'an: The Pilgrimage, chapter 22, verse 17)
  • Because you are an arrogant self-absorbed bigot perhaps?

  • @SufiShia My friend, where is your adab? Don't bow down to the bigot by behaving like him, ok?

"The noblest of you in the sight of Allāh is the best of you in conduct" (Quran 49:13).

  • You poor man, you sound very bitter. How you must long for the Shah and the Iran of your youth, recollecting the good times. But there are bigger plans with regards to Iran, inshallah! It can never again be the playground it once was for you and other Shah devotees. The Islamic revolution has put an end to that, how you must hate it. I'm sure you would do anything to revert Iran back, but you can't, so you are reduced to condeming nasr to death on youtube..so sad.

  • Apart from the ridiculous contradictions in your statement, sounds like you are a hater of the first order! Nasr is a genious with a tremendous understanding of Islam, religion as a whole and our modern times. Why don't you act poor and humble and learn something from him!

Besides, as a Shah devotee, you don't have any moral authority condeming other corrupt & extravagant royals.

  • Do you know what corruption is? Mr. Asshole Karseller??? Someone who is opportunist & as a result has no principle. One day is with his king & next they with the enemy of his king & country. You also listen too much to BBC & the far left media or else U would have not so unfairly repeated the same trash 30 years on.People of Iran think differently today.

  • My chief argument with you is regarding your terrible penmanship; after basic considerations such as these can we then discuss the relevant issues.

  • Nasr was exiled from Iran, just so you know.
