That was so great. I Play flute and piccolo and that can't compare with how bassoon fingering are. I look in the bassoon fingering chart and it was a nightmare and I still not sure if I want to play bassoon for another instrument or not. There is no book or instructor here. You play else other then bassoon?
You really mustn't use the piano whilst playing Baroque, the instrument does not have the subtle qualities of the harpsichord. Not to mention, the player does not use the skills of breaking chords as all chords should be in Baroque music, unless indicated otherwise. Besides that though, the piece is a very nice change of pace.
real quick question!!! ok im tryin out for all state on my bassoon and my band director says i need to make my tone better...how do you do that...cuz you hav a really good tone!!!
In my opinion I believe that certain people aren't willing to take the risk due to ideas and thoughts such as stabbing yourself with the instrument or other hazardous events that may occur. Also I think it's because they don't want to risk damaging the bassoon. Well all in all I guess there's a certain "fear factor" that's only in America. Then again this is just my opinion.
Nice job! I've never heard any bassoonists from your country.
It's funny how people from different parts of the world play quite differently. All the American bassoonists I've ever heard play differently from one another...It's very heterogeneous here. What is your experience? Hmmm.
You are very good JPD, I love it.....
