Nooo. I hate that it ended this way. There should have been a genocide. This series could have been expanded in such an interesting way by discovering why and creating heroes. Great concept though. I really loved it.

As explained in DeniseVlogs: The soldier only shot the neighbor because he had escaped after being in the shuttle. Being in a shuttle means there are people and if he was to escape, he would have to injure other civilians. To continue, the scene when the soldier shot a bullet into the air was a warning sign to Roger and his family to stop. However, after stopping, a siren came on to warn EVERYONE who knows what the siren meant to go back to safety. To conclude, the world might end as predicted.

A nice short story, Denise. I felt the only slightly weak acting link was Channing, but then her character was pretty 2-dimensional, so perhaps not all her fault. What would be very interesting would be to revisit this short story from the other perspectives: the Crazy Guy, the soldier, Adam and Nancy. I wonder what else we'd learn from their points of view.

How could anyone not understand? The world was supposedly going to end by some meteor strike so the government uses shuttles to get everyone to safety. But the father, Roger, meets his neighbor who says it's a conspiracy to exterminate everyone, and when Roger sees his neighbor getting shot he believes he was right so he hides with his family as to not be taken away. They think they were right until the last seconds when the sky darkens, hence the end of the world was real.

Seriously how can people not get it? there were soldiers who were picking up civilians to bring them to a safe area because the world was ending. One night the house across the road had their light on. So the dad went to check it out. He saw a guy. He said don't let them take you because the whole world ending thing is fake. So the dad tried to get his family to not go. So tied up his wife so she wouldn't go anywhere. the they woke up and everything was fine. then the world ended.
