  • keine ahung vom lackieren lass es besser da bekommt man augenkrebs

  • Awesome Job Bro! Wish you can paint my car. ;)

  • Credit where it's due for posting your videos instead of all the arm chair critics that don't do jack but wear a paint suit dude whether it's solvent or water base keep that sh*t off your skin. If you like what your doing make sure you're doing it for a long time....

  • Nice Job good video, don't listen to the overly critical comments. I don't think they knew that you were not painting the whole car, you were blending with the original color. They didn't noticed that you cleared the whole section. Again good job.

  • oh i wanted the how to paint a car pink video,i will keep searching :)

  • total unprofessionell: mit der Pistole rumgeeiert, ungleichmäßig.Keine Schutzkleidung.Scheinbar keine richtige Absaugung. Also ich habe das anders gelernt

  • this guy never paint before, sure. totaly amateur

  • as ull notice while hes painting bottom to top all his over spray get stuck on the lower portion of the car.. NOOB! paint top to bottom

  • PAINT COSTS MORE THAN THE CAR :)

  • Tune gun down some . To much over spray

  • and that's how it's done very good some of these guys that post videos on you tube are a joke this guys a pro i give him a 10

  • this is a good job man

  • why didn't you take a red oxide primer instead of grey?

  • @pigidly if we were living in the 70's he might lol if you go into any body shop all you'll find is gray you might find some red that's 30 years old (JUST REDUCE IT IT WILL BE FINE HA HA)

  • I got a quick question. Say I were to bring my truck, 96 Dodge Ram Ext Cab and an 8ft bed, in to get totally repainted. How much would you think it would cost if I brought it in and they had to do all the sanding and painting? It's blue and silver right now and I am thinking about paintin it like a brighter orange, or red, or possibly black.

  • @PackyTV dammm thats alot of prep work for starters and blacks a bitch when it come to spraying unless u pay for all the bodywork to be done black shows up every little fault withing the bodywork . anyway i reckon your looking at probably anything from a grand onwards and depending whit paint finish you want to of course

  • @PackyTV to do it right it would cost more than the truck is worth

  • @PackyTV I would say maybe 8 to 12k

  • Forgot the tch. Nice vid by the way

  • For once can you youtubers just watch the video and comment something on that vid low72 guy, you just had a bipolar moment there saying to grow up, when your the one who keeps responding with capiche, like what the fuck who says that ! That 206sole guy is just a bi

  • curious on how you manage to go over the same line 2 times so slowly before moving down panel and getting no runs?? how have you got the gun set?,.

  • what is the name of spray gun?

  • @jimmo4life hey man great job, i am just wondering how much does it normally cost to paint a small car (honda civic), because i am planning to get mine painted.. thanks!

  • is a professional, very good technique.

  • c est un artist.......bon corage

  • In all my 20 plus years of spraying I have never seen the end to end spray technique. You make it look easy. I might try it on a smaller car to start and see how it works. Great air flow in the booth, looks like higher pressure than most use, what PSI to your gun and product type?

  • he likes these junk cars though

  • Oh WOW..Here is that guy again!! of Course he can handle a spray gun.Lovely paintjob !!

  • can't believe how shiny it is

  • that guy is drunk i think

  • Nice job on that car. I totally wish I had that skill.

  • Nice Work!!! You just wet that Buick!

  • I love this color,it look like a chocolate.

  • that looks awesome. since your in that industry, i was thinking of getting my 99 civic hatch painted, but has 3 of 4 softball size dents i want out and painted black original color. I don't plan to have the car for 10's of years probably around 4-5 years and don't want to spend too much on it, what prices should i be expecting and what things should i watch out for?

  • no eye goggle! awesome!

  • Awesome!!!

  • Very good job man, I must say. Impressive!

  • okay so today my mom comes in my room while im watching gone in 60 seconds, and it was the part where auto was painting the flames on a car anyways my mom starts yelling at me bc i dont no what i want to do with my future yet. • i see drips on fender

  • U GAVE THE CAR ONE HELL OF A PAINT JOB!! THUMBS UP TO U!!

  • i can se your a pro car body and paint job must be your daily job im sure of

  • What was on the cloth that you used at the beginning? Was it a tack cloth, or was it wax and grease remover? Do you have to use both a tack cloth AND a wax and grease remover? If so, then how long before you paint, and in what order? Basically, how to I prep the surface RIGHT before I paint...

  • looks nice man ;) good job

  • What are you using at 4:05?

  • @daverrd its called clear coat you fucking retard

  • @206sole hey bro chill, the man was just interested and curious, why not just help him ass

  • @chillinkillin0 how bout minding ur own business. and i was helping the guy, i told him that is was clear coat u idiot

  • @chillinkillin0 haha, no dad no dad no dad no dad, go kill urself so no one has to read ur gay comments bitch

  • @206sole what's with your little internet nerds whose only insults are mentioning parents & incest? Seriously if you think that offends anybody your mistaken

  • @low72 obviously you were so butthurt it took you a month to respond

  • @206sole I'm not even the one you were originally responding to? LOL retard. Learn to read before you reply, capiche?

  • @low72 your still a faggot tho, capiche? FUCK YOU

  • @206sole *you're & *though. You need to learn some spelling as well before you reply, capiche?

  • @low72 Its funny how when someone doesn't have a good comeback they make fun of the other persons spelling. Hah, when did we start using proper English on the internet, oh yeah, only people that are insecure about there intelligence do that. And by the way I was inebriated and fingering you sister with two hands when I typed those comments douche bag. Capich.... wait only faggots say that.

  • @206sole It's just a given, you know, something you should of paid attention to in school. I mean come on it's not that hard to learn and make a good habit of. Sorry, bro...I don't have a sister. What's with you little internet nerds always trying to insult other people with comments about sexual activities involving their family members that they've never seen / met before? What are you, 10 years old? If anything you should do a little growing up as well before your reply, capiche?

  • Very Nice Work Jim

Could you possibly give us some advice on paint gun tips. I cannot decide which tip paint gun to get 1.3mm, 1.4mm or 1.5mm.

  • @ivanbgct 1.4 mm is the most commun tip they use

  • how do you prevent the paint and clear coat from dripping? and how many coats of each do you apply?

  • can i use base coat and clear coat with the same gun and canister?

  • Nice job. One thing I would advise is to get the garden hose and spray down the floor with water before painting to keep dust down.

  • where do you get your clear and paint from?

  • i know it's only on camera, but i'm quite impressed with your clear coating skill

clear coating is a whole other can of worms in the painting world

  • what kind of clear are you using? i use ppg 2021 or 3000 on smaller jobs. i also use a iwata lph 400 with a 1.3 tip. i love that gun

  • @cappy781 me too

  • can you give me little more info about how you sand ? front driver door have some paint left, did you apply the primer or you just sand it till you see the primer

  • why don't you wear better protection for yourself, like a fresh air respirator the least?

  • amazing work, awesome job.

  • Awesome! this is a true art form.

  • do u sand down to the metal?

  • Muy explícito, muy bueno el vídeo...

  • thats pretty damn good :D i wish i had a car haha

  • how much is red paint and the gun i that wa you need aint it chaper doin it yourself bud ?

  • looks great

  • looks great

  • where is u airfed mask and u paper overalls????

  • what did you use to clean it berore paint it ????

  • @johnCfu1 depends on what kind of paint you are using but you could use ax and grease remover gets rid of all the crap and also use a tac cloth right before you spray.

  • what did you rub on the car between coats/

  • @chevyhotsean tack cloth most likely, used to remove any dust/dirt particles and things like that.

  • is the gun finish line

  • unfortunately, shooting car paint is the most F. U. job there is in the entire world, u have to deal with TOXIC fumes, you have to mask off, thin down paint, strain paint. Clean the stupid airgun, polish, etc. What pisses me off the most is the smell of pain, yes, THE SMELL, it's shit man, pure shit!

  • @TheSpanishboi hahaha ure telling me i need ot start wearing my respirator

  • @cosuinofdeath Besides the respirator you shouldn't expose any bare skin, they say the paint can come inside trhough the skin and detroy your lungs or liver later in life, that's why am saying this job is dangerous, bye

  • do u bake after this?

  • I just noticed he's using those funky cups from 3M

  • Just take an advise from "jimmo4life" and i have to say its very true of what hes saying. Things that look easy arent always easy. Like the paint jobin this vid and how to prepair it "BEFORE" you paint it. All the mess ups come to life when you paint it, like if the sand paper wasnt fine enough it would look like you painted over a mass of scraches. or you didnt puddy it right(seeing waves in the puddy job and so on).Dont try this in an open area either, or when the paint drys it just may happe

  • 4:15 clear coat ?

  • nice job!

  • hey bro how many times did you spray the base coat on..? or how many layers,

  • hey bro how many times did you spray the base coat on..? or how many layers

  • the spray gan is an iwata?

  • @Erbasicca69

    Yep

  • You have to tell what you are applying and so on for people who have no idea how to do this. Do you think I could use the Electric hplv paint sprayer to do this? Why not?

  • Nice job, Questions...

What were the air compressor specs & the Gun specs

What did you use for the clearcoat

  • look i have a question i bought a front bumper and its black... sound i sand the top layer only and repaint it or should i sand the top later and then put primer on it and re paint it red?

  • thanks for putting skip ad

  • is there any particular reason why you prefer to clear the entire side of the car at once? I notice a lot of painters usually clear one panel at a time and move onto the next. I'm not intending the way you did it was wrong I was just wondering if you find any benifits in doing it the way you do.

  • @Spoolin95DSM both work just fine some painters can't pain panel by panel cause they get runs and some find it hard to get a good finish by doing what this guy does there is just 6 rules in puting clear on to get a good finish.. gun distance, movement speed, air presure, fan and fluid control and finally overlaping each coat of clear you put on i do it 50/50 90 digrees angle walking can cause uneven coating cause as you walk its hard to maintain the thing i mention above some can do it no problem

  • oooooooooo shiny

  • nice job did u have to buff this job

  • @85carlosn

From what I remember I took out a few dirt nibs here and there.

  • @85carlosn of cause u ediot every job you do u need to buff dem lol

  • @DwarfGuy1 no not every job u have to buff. only if u arnt gud enough to get the job done straight off the gun

  • ur with open so wide

  • do you have to use a spray gun or can you use spray paint can?

  • @deante1

    Have to use a gun

  • @deante1 "can you use spray paint can?"

My mate used an emulsion roller to refinish his; I'm not even kidding.

    The result was predictably disgusting.

  • @deante1 you can use a can and it will look ok but if you want it to look good then use a gun

  • Why walk the panels with the clear??

  • Good Work!! Car looks real good

  • Love the out come of the paint job. Im planning on painting my bucik regal soon. any tips on what size tips to use and amount of psi to use? thanks

  • hogman2461 The 1th thing u whant 2 do is find out what the paint brand recomends. 2nd u whant 2 consider the size of the metalflake, i use a 1.3 sata with 15 to 20 psi on all my dupont metaliks and 1.3 iwata with the orange cap on all my solids i find that it breaks up the paint that much better than anything that ihave use in the past. for clears I use a 1.4 sata b2000 with 35 to 40psi 2 wet coats with a10 min between coat makes a great finish. hope this helps

  • Nicely done!

  • Is all paint that dule until you put the clear on? I was a little skeptical at first when I saw thatt the base coat was so dule.

  • Nice job. could you please make a video of color tinting techniques which include white, pearl whites, beige, gold, silver, red, green, and all those paint that hard to tint. thanks

  • Bad Vid---Wrong type of gun ( DeVillebissJGA is better)Fan too wide--You should release pressure at the end of each pass. Some passes too close , some passes too far away.Pressure looks a little high???

  • @hunter0f2

Appreciate the input hunter. The Iwata LPH400 is designed for base and the W400 is a compliant designed for clear. It is a pretty good gun, lately I've leaned towards the Sata RP for clear. Yet to try the JGA. The guns are all set at Iwata's recommend pressure and fan settings, around 18 for base, 26 for clear. I avoid releasing the trigger on passes because usually the gun will surge a bit of air and possibly create more dust in the job.... just a personal preference.

  • If i buy a sprayer and paint my car after i do all the proper prep work and everything for my first time, will the paint job turn out good? is it hard to do?

  • @forbzy61

It takes practice, if you put some time into learning I'm sure you could figure it out.

  • @forbzy61

as a first timer, follow all the proper steps for pre-work and acual paint and painting. avoid short cuts and realy take your time and u'll end up with a paint job u'll be proud of.

  • you don't let off the trigger at all, all the other videos I have seen and stuff I read say to let off the trigger on each side just past the car and then start back on on the second pass

  • i keep getting fisheyes in my clear coat any advice

  • Keep any products that contain silicone (armor all, waxes..etc) away from your spray area and avoid using them in a car your planing to spray. Use a quality wax and silicone remover, maybe increase your spray pressure.

  • 1ts check ur airline for water. an easy fix is to purge ur compresor and buy a disposable air dryer they around 10 us dollar. make sure u clean ur panels before u do any spraing. something to consider is the tack rag, i use the cristal finish tack rags they are the best. victorb60@hotmail.com

  • @williamz will simple use wax and grease remover also known as presol and dont touch the surface you are painting with your hands make sure the surface your painting is dry if your your wet rubbing the job you're painting and put some heat in both hahaha if it happen again then it may not be fisheyes could be pinholes sometimes you dont see them when your puting your basecoat on and you will see them when clearing the job it happens when you put on primer coat after coat without leting them dry

  • is that a tac rag??

  • nice tecnique, learned a lot

  • good job one think i have to ask you. Why you couldn`t jus put the clear on one element and move to the other. Shooting clear from one side to the other looks like it`s one of your first times you do that.

  • @kylu81

Im not really sure, another painter suggested I try spraying like that a while back and I've been hooked ever since!

  • it looks good man. great work. I don't trust myself enough to do my own car ever. I'll leave it to the pros.

  • why does he use a different bottle for paint?

  • @williamaguiar14 one is paint the other is clear coat. and the last one is holy water

  • che spreco di trasparente ha dato un etto di vernice sulla carta cerata, poi ha tolto profili e maniglie e non ha tolto i raschiavetro

  • i realized you didnt your sealer, and i was taught in school to use sealer before you applied paint to prevent primer from bleeding through and sucking the paint whats your opinion on that? jimmo

  • @azteklife81

On some jobs I will. If it has a primer surfacer over the filler then bleeding wont be an issue, sealers basically the same thing just wet-on-wet ...it can help with holdout against sinking and improve adhesion in some situations.

  • I have heard that for the base coat, you should have approximatly a 50 % overlap. Is it the same with clear? He seems to be going the same area three times. Wouldn't that cause major runs ?

  • travel speed and gun distance are both inconsistent.

  • my car is white but i'm gonna change it to blue, do i have to primer the whole car or just sand an paint on top of old paint? i never paint a car before but i wanna try it in my own car, can you give me some tip of how to paint a whole car please, cheers

  • @rockmyboat676 you can prep the car with a very fine abrhasive an then you would not need to prime, but this only really applies to a mint condition surface, white is a good base colour for a blue. Personally i would use a transparent sealer before my blue, but if you have areas that you need to sand down to the metal you can always spot prime an then flat that. Would use less consumables that way, hope this helps

  • lots of clear

  • what is that on your hand and why do you rub it after each coat?? plz answer

  • @hector1130 its tack cloth and he is removing any paint particles that dried before it hit the surface of the car. its another technique to ensure better adhesion for the next coat of paint

  • i also forgot to mention the ratio of the paint how do i mixx it u know

what psi do i use like the one u use for this kind of job?

  • what did u just put there to clean all the surface???? thinner Mineral spirit or lacquer?

cuz im painting my s10 blazer im a noob but im learning all i can before doing it so i kidna need al information each process u do like sand clean primer paint clear u know those things... each process by details : )

  • @X2N18

My guess is it's probably rubbing alcohol. What year's your Blazer? I had an '89. It was a good truck- got 230k out of that thing.

  • This looks so fun I want to get a job doing this.

  • @policeman1313 (yes, this and all the pres work, puttying and that sort of stuff, not just airgunning :P )

  • What grit paper did you sand it with after for runs?

  • Would a 1.0 nozzle hvlp be too small for this kind of job? including a primer and clearcoat?

  • its amazing how crappy the paint looks on a car without clear coat

  • hey jimmo can you explain to me the difference between the color air caps......and is iwata a good gun?

  • HA thats called clear coat my friend...

  • whats that white spray, that makes it bring out the color?

  • very good ,nice work

  • excellent work!

  • This is one of the best painting videos ive seen that show me start to finish paint......Good video.....Nice work

  • i was planning on painting my bimmer to a darker blue but how much do i have to sand to get started? all the way to the primer or to the metal to add new primer?

  • If its in good condition now just sand enough to give you adhesion. That means not very much at all. Try and remove the orange peel from the clear, that should be good enough, Follow that with a grey scotch pad and a sanding paste...you could even skip the sanding and just use the scotchbrite and paste....i'd wouldn't do that personally but it is an approved way.

  • yeah its not that bad, few small dents here and there but the clear started to peel of with the rain...??? looks ugly and now i want a different color lol. thank you for the info bud.
