I have a perfectly logical explanation for this happening

The monorail was really depressed so it hid explosives in 2 areas (one in the vent and one inside the floor) and was going to commit suicide. But it got really pissed off at you for defusing one of the bombs and drove off hoping to take you as well. But when it realized you were not on it anymore it blew itself up.

i disarmed the bomb with explosives skill, was directed to talk to hsu afterwards, but no dialogue is present to end the mission. 360 with updates, worked my first playthrough, but this is the only bug i encountered on the second. WTF

For me this happen ( PS3 version)

1)Talk to Hsu

2)Talk to Curtis

3)Talk to all NCR that saw something in the tower.

4)When I was outside and about to enter the tower Curtis talk to me then he ask me what I'm doing I told him that I'm going to check the tower because there is a person who doing some thing then he say when you caught them I'll have them arrested.

5) A bug happen.

6)The bug was that Curtis(the spy) deed not enter the tower and talk to the radio (Before,during and after 1:00 am)

Once this quest is patched you should be able to go Hsu, Curtis, Boyd, Curtis, Code, Hsu, then disarm before it takes off and blows. To put it simply if you talk to anyone between the Boyd conversation and the defusing of the bomb, kiss your monorail goodbye...Am I right...

If you talk to Hsu before deactivating the bomb, the quest becomes glitched and the monorail explodes no matter what you do. Don't talk to Hsu if you want to disable the bomb.

I am sooooo sick of all the glitches on this game. Every day I experience a new huge glitch!! First off I tried like 12 times to get on the train before it took off. Second, I finally get on the train and it takes off with me on it. Third, I defuse the bomb and get off the train for it only to take off and blow up anyway. No matter what I do it takes off and blows up!!!! WTF Yesterday it was the young hearts glitch, today it's this crap!! I'm really getting sick of this sh**!!

You need to diffuse the bomb before you talk to Hsu.

@pikacunut Yea I realize where I went wrong. After I spoke with Boyd I went back and told Curtis that someone was breaking into the tower. He told me to catch them in the act and he'd have them arrested. This is where the programming glitch occurs. If you talk to Curtis after talking to Boyd your train is doomed from that point on.  It shouldn't be, but it is. If you follow this order your good. Hsu, Curtis, Boyd, Code, Defuse, then back to Hsu.

My problem, along with many others is the inability to enter the monorail car itself. I cannot walk into it to reach the explosive. I simply cannot get past the open door. It just puts an invisible wall up and says Press A to go to New Vegas.

it gliched for me when i try to eavesdrop on him he dosent say anything on the radio and every time i try and get close he says "you getting too close Shamus" and try s to kill me... i want to diffuse the bomb not let it blow up.

@ttocs167 It's because you have the Wild Wasteland perk, he talks normally without it. I donno if it changes anything in the quest but it does change his dialogue.

i was able to keep the train from blowing by using the deactivation codes which i pick pocketed off of Curtis after he said something about blowing up the train to the radio....

maybe thats the only way to do it :/
