I know Eurofighter has an arrestor hook but in reality the hook would come off. Its only to be used in emergencys and short landings but not extremely short landings like on a carrier.
eurofighter was 10 years late, that 10 years defence improvement was a scam by dfence companies to make more money. the delta wing is obsolete. aircraft like that are either replaced by rockets fired from afar, and then helicopters which are more stable take up slack. fighter jets can be downed with pulse etc they are not needed.
@PzAufklaerer12Btl . everyone? you mean the corporate media chums of the defence company, or the bae systems sales brochure. at 67 million dollars a throw, the uk government should of bought suhkoi f27's at 30 million a throw and just put western avionics on the platforms. the trouble is the defence companies string out contracts and make shi t in conventional weapons turns. most are not needed atall when "alien" technology is taken into account. it just an arms race to sidetrack china etc
@sexybritgent That doesnt work. Just think a little bit. We could also build some old Spitfires or Messerschmitts for 2 million a throw and put new western avionics on them. You are right!! Bravo!! That is the best idea, stupid.
You have no idea about aeroplanes. So shut the f**k up.
And the plane is called Su-27 not F-27!
The Eurofighter Typhoon and the Lockheed F-22 Raptor are the best fighter-planes in the world.
eurofighter is useless. ministers and teh companies that make it delayed production, stalled production to get more cash of taxpayer. it is obsolete, over expensive. sukhoi make far better platform, more cheaply, with better universal role. platforms are useless now anyway rockets and helicopters can take over. the uk tax payer has really paid for rubbish. most bae systems products are expensive, outdated and useless.
It's very good, you can download a demo of it for Windows, Mac or Linux from the official site x-plane (dot) com try it you might like it :)
And yes, think of any plane that exists and you can fly it, there is a site called x-plane (dot) org which has user-submitted aircraft you can download for free, also there are payware sites out there which offer more high quality aircraft.
And by the way, the Brits even considered a carrier-enabled Typhoon version instead of F35s. The customized version (with strengthened undercarriage) they built worked fine.
I wouldnt say the EF-2000 is a raptor killer Zeptocomp, The EF-2000 beat the F-22 in medium and close range dogfights but I dont think it did in BVR combat.
i think they meant BVR -> Beyond Visual Range. UK and another EU country have made the Meteor AA missile which is the best BVR weapons in the world so far...and the EF2000's gonna have it >:D
The description says they were flying in "X-Plane". Its a rival of Microsoft Flight Simulator X. I've only tried the X-Plane demo, and I've never tried MSFS, so I can not compare them.
i have both, the latest X plane (v9) and i borrowed MSX from a friend. i am a real pilot and i wanted to practice flying since i need to do my licence but i have alot of skl work at the mo. For realism, X plane is the way to go. For learning the basics of flying, either MSX or reading a book would do. MSX is pretty bad in terms of speed of turns etc sometimes and makes flying a bit difficult whereas in real life it wud be far from the truth. also xplane is more custmisble. as planes are free to
Plus the helicopters in X-Plane are simply brilliant, like the Hughes 500, Bell Pigling and the Eurocopter EC120. This is how helicopter flying on the PC is meant to be.
There aresome excellent Helo models for FSX too, but not as freeware.
download, and there are tons. to enjoy either fully, get a good joystick or yolk, either fork out for a £200 yoke, pedal and throttle quadrant, or go for plain and simple all in one value Saitek "av8r" / aviator. also xplane u can fly on mars or land shuttles or land on frigates/carriers, make your own planes, get real weather from your local area, design weapons (dont hope for good graphics, its supposed to be non violent lol, so no explosions), if you are interested, PM me and ill tell u more
yup, i bought a joystick recently, slightly better but still slow to react even at higher speeds, which should be the opposite. the only exception to this is the extra 300, which is now stupidly impossible to manouver without crashing after a bit with a joystick.
Sounds either like a bad joystick (low quality potentiometers) or like a calibration problem.
I have a full CH products HOTAS set (Fighterstick Pro and Pro Throttle) with pedals (Pro Pedals) and flying works excellent with both X-Plane and FSX.

This is SHIT
The eurofighter can´t landing on a carrier
1EUROFIGHTER 3 years ago
yes it can, any plane with a good landing gear and a tailhook can land on a carrier so this isn't shit.
+ : games are to do things that can't be done in real life. So it's still just nice to do it.

Read here how the Eurofghter owned the F22 in close and BWR combat!
Source: "internatinal AIR POWER REVIEW" - year 2006,
issue 20, page 45. - ISNB: 1-880588-91-9 (casebound) or ISBN: 1473-9917.
Most Airforces have these reports - read it yourself -
The Eurofighter Typhoon is a Raptor-killer.
Europe will buy at least 635 Eurofighters...
USAF have gone from originally saying it would purchase 750 F22 Raptors, to now just 183.
