  • whoever dislikes this is simply retarded

  • Thank god Paul Weller bowed out on this one. Would've sucked to hear shmaltzy acoutic versions of these great songs. Saved the cost of putting the drummer in a glass sound-cage, and getting a bidet installed in the dressing room too!

  • not bad but all those knocking weller are kidding themselves- first of all im glad the jam never reformed - the gift was a great album and wellers solo stuff for the most part has been pretty good and sometimes great! do you really want a 50 year old singing youth anthems- move on remember the jam as they were and what they always will be! One of the best - i love foxton but he needs to move on!

  • If i cosed my eyes and listened i swear i would be listenening to paul...well done on a good choice boys!!!!!

  • Seen the at Shepherds Bush last night, they were great, had an amazing time and so did everyone else. I seen the Jam back in the day and they were starting to lose there way, Beat Surrender is a crap song and didn't deserve to be a number one. From The Jam are at least playing the songs that eveyrone loved the Jam for. Long may thet continue, Wellers solo stuff at the moment is shit, after Stanley Road the rest is crap.

  • Lets face it this is pub rock. Its just a tribute band now, Weller was the talent and Buckler and Foxton were mediocrities(how many songs did they write?) who have made a living offf that talent. As for Russell and Mr personality well those two- J'accuse - its like the emperors new clothes there is nothing there no talent no nothing. You have jumped on the bangwagon for an ego trip at our expense guys and you have been found out,you are nothing to do with the Jam.

  • Great gig, sounds very much like Weller

  • shame that it couldnt be all the original guys but unfortunately paul just aint got it anymore, but its great brucie and rick are still going at it, fairplay to em

  • They sound fantastic! I'd rather see these guys' show from the nosebleed seats than watch a Paul Weller gig from front row center. Let's face it,by the time he disbanded the Jam,they had already gotten crappy and dull thanks to Weller's attempts to be "soulful". He recently ditched his white wife for a "woman of color",perhaps hoping her "soulfulness" will rub off on him. The first 3 Jam albums still sound exciting; can't really say the same for "Beat Surrender" etc. Go ahead & call me "racist".

  • Ok Wellers later material does suck but why bring colour into it you fuckin moron? Anyway why dont do some more homework about the early Jam cos Heatwave/Slowdown & the Midnight Hour are covers of classic R&B standards

  • Was well aware that those were cover versions, the difference is that they were well chosen tunes, played at a properly break-neck pace so that they fit in perfectly with the Jam's originals. Hell,in their pre-'77 days they were pretty much a covers band specialising in this kind of thing. Later on the slackened pace and the flatulent horn section made it hard to remain interested. Weller never considered himself a "punk rocker",& from Style Council onward proved this to be the sad truth...

  • Yeah but you why are talking about people skin colours mate? Wether Weller likes Black women or cheese & onion crisps or Blueberry Muffins is neither here or there.....and yeah you do come across as racist so sort it out.

  • weller ditched DC Lee (a woman of colour) at the end of style council for the so called white wife.I like 'kingofpunk' fail to see why any of this matters.

  • am i allowed to say fucking fantastic,tough shit,just have.great stuff.

  • If weller had reformed with rick and bruce im sure football stadiums could of been filled over and over, however he chose not to.I have seen weller a few times and the majority of the crowd want jam songs and not his own(my opinion) bland stuff.Hats off to russell for filling what was an almost impossible task and anyone who says its shit, listen and close your eyes.WE ARE THE MODS,WE ARE THE MODW,WE ARE WE ARE WE ARE THE MODS

  • ditto my friend,i loved my vespa, miss her ,im 40 now .lol.i ran onto the knavesmire near york racecourse singing from quadrophenia-we are the mods ,we are the mods,we are ,we are ,we are the mods.

  • I've seen FTJ twice & I swear to God, if you closed your eyes, it could have been Weller of 30 years ago. Top marks Russell Hastings!

  • hahahaha....hilarious.../no weller no jam....come on...do the maths.....two thirds of the jam on here..the one thats missing is god...but he couldnt keep up with this pace...it sounds just like it should...top marks russell..

  • @uhhuhohyeah1234 karaoke imitation- wellers recent eton rifles and thats entertainment versions blow these out of the water- hastings is good but its kind of sad to me to see this set stuck in time with nothing new to offer!

  • NO Weller NO Jam................

  • Its not THE JAM,its FROM THE JAM

  • from the jam are nothing without paul but i respect him so much cos this is crap

  • AMAZING, i would rather this guy front the band now them Weller, reason being if it was Weller he would never sing with the aggression this guy does (its like the Jam in 1979!) and if Weller fronted them they would play crap stadiums!

  • Who is the other guitarist?

  • If you are talking about the man standing at the back he is called Dave Moore. He plays the keyboard too but he has left the band now;)

  • he is dave moore but he has left the band now:(

  • Song brings back memories and with the additional musicians, Bruce's fabulous bass, and Ricks wonderful drumming this track sounds better than it ever did. Sadly I missed the last tour, hope they're back soon...

  • fantastic! how can "mr.weller" call that "cabaret"? i love the jam and paul weller, but ftj are excellent in their own right. russel hastings?...is awesome!

  • Jeez Bruce is gettin on I always thought he was the eternal kid

  • Plusses - great sound, good vid quality - you really can finally see how damn good the boys sound.

Minuses - the far-too-quick "MTV edits" style editing ... gives me a headache when they keep switching cams/angles so fast! Whatever happened to pointing the camera at the stage and letting us watch what's going on?

Roll on the DVD!!! And the next North American tour pls ;)

  • Brilliant. That'll silence the critics.

  • What a great video, roll on the official release date of this concert in June.
