  • Gotta agree with you badnovelist289, your right. Thanks youtube.

  • Very cool. Van Halen's cover is not too bad as well.

  • Great appreciation for sharing

  • 09-22-2011 ; Everything about this track ethical . Although the video effort diminished - one of the craftiest percussionists Unkle Robins' had outside Mubutu . Unkle Robin shines so hard I glow in the dark like high-ordinance . I long for the day Unikle Robin markets fresh studio-time initiatives pursuant to V-12 agency rule .This guitarrist crumples mighty steel like he been doin' it since dirt was new ! Sorry about the blog . -Seclusionos.

  • back in the day(70's) I was in a power trio. and we did long misty days. which I sang..I never heard any band cover his material what a shame....

  • Those of us who have been listening to Rock and Roll since 1964 must acknowledge Trower as the master of the guitar...and his compositions, along with Dewar, are timeless. So, we should give him his due. Can you imagine Keith trying to keep up with this stuff? It's a comical notion.

  • Thanks !!!!

  • JOHLUM! you are the BOMB. THANKS FOR THE KILLER CUT.

  • (3) scoteee4020... for a FUNK sound with fusion percussion keyboard and vocal harmonies pull up....WAR- GYPSY MAN....(album cover 10:51 live version) best of all listen to rahiem leblanc lay that tight rock riff over what began as an urban soul piece. pull up......GQ - DISCO NIGHTS theres lots of fusion in there. good live version..... GQ - DISCO NIGHTS / BONUS VIDEO! that cut sold millions. FUSE IT!...... enjoy.

  • (2) scotieee4020 you seem to listen. to hear. if youre interested in the black / white funk / rock bridge you might be interested in these cuts. two cuts which seem to bridge are, strangely enough, the beach boys and sly stone but you really have to listen for it. pull up.....CAR CRAZY CUTIE BY THE BEACH BOYS hear that twangy crunchie 60s riff running through there? how white is that, right? now pull up....SLY AND THE FAMILY STONE - M'LADY check the bridge at 1:55 twang crunch hear it?

  • SCOTIEEE 4020 NAILS IT! EXACTLY. of all the post jmh black white fusion robin stands apart, and i couldnt pin down that groove. heard bos in the background at a party back then, asked who it was and without really remembering what caught me went and bought it. went to see em live. they melted our faces. recently remembered bos having something strong and scarfed down all the cuts. AND YOURE RIGHT. its black in there. the undertow. beneath those ferocious white riffs. you sound like a music man.

  • where in the world did that last pic of trower playing an SG come from?

  • The White Hendrix!!!!

  • @scottieeee4020 couldn't agree more

  • @scottieeee4020 What I love about RT is that he openly embraces and pays homage to JMH, while not covering his work or stealing his stagecraft. From what I can gather, RT had some sort of transformational realization: He was going to devote himself to what really reached inside him: black music, especially as interpreted and reinvented by JMH. I hear a lot of Axis LP and Band of Gypsys tones and rhythms in RT's playing, especially in this hard funk stomp. He is serious about his craft.

  • Everyone has pretty much summed up anything that I can say, this is GOOD AS IT GETS.....Period. Thanks for posting this, much appreciated.

  • Still gives me chills!!

  • sick.. his jimi influence shines through

  • trower mustve had a dream with hendrix and hendrix told him to write the fool and me.

  • Legend !!!

  • Love, love , love it!!!!!

  • This is just so classic for us Trower fans, 50 years young and counting

  • Who wrote the lyrics, Trower or Dewar?

  • Trower.

  • Yep , He played an entire show with Ram Jam , Cobo Hall , Detroit with that red SG........30 years ago

  • ram jam, i almost forgot about them. we're showing our age

  • Is that an SG! I see Robin playing near the end photo's? WOW!

  • Damn sure looks like an SG. Never saw him with one before. Always a strat. You shoulda seen the strat he played last night...gorgeous RED, obviously new.

  • Davy Pattison is good, but Dewar was the voice of RT! it was like peanut butter and jelly!

  • ^ I've always said that. Dewar was awesome.

  • Thanks for a glimpse into this work in progess from the most under-appreciated blues rockers in the history of England. 5/5!

  • Totally cool song.

  • Back for another listen dude, I'll rate it again too I love Trower!

  • the year 1976 the place Memphis Tn Mid -South Colosium general admission 3.00 dollars and the most wild unreal Guitar Gods shown on us that hot night concert you ever seen.Barry Banister wouldn't stop talking about the greatist concert he seen for months...I listend for I knew....Robin Trower the man

  • i was there circa 76 or 77. didn't rock 103 put sponser the show and it cost $1.03 to get in!

  • I played this song for a very pretty 26 year old party girl and she flat out loved it...and me too that night I'm here to tell...

  • Trower is a practioner of what I sexy guitar. There has probably been more guys laid with Trower going in the background than just about any other music. Especially the slow dreamy ones....wimins like that!!

  • What power. Only 3 guys. Amazing

  • I love this song in any way I can get it. It reoresents my youth in a big way.

  • Great stuff, any details on where recorded?

  • I was 16 at the time and just don't remember. My notes said August 1973. It was a bar my uncle managed to get me into.
