Ireally like this version with its slow buildup to the climax and wailing guitar. Was that Ronnie Wood looking a bit younger ? David always has really good musicians playing with him and it really shows. The playing is very tight, no messing around. Apparently he runs a tight ship and is very demanding of his musicians which rally shows in the superb quality of thie performance. Even Paxman is in awe of him. I must go and watch him at least once before he too joins the great Gig in the Sky !!!!!

I loved this tune the moment I put the needle to the 'album' 30 years ago.

I saw Bowie on a Monday nite in 74 at MSG. He was still doing the space thing that really didnt work for me. I stuck with him because the rock tunes he penned were fabulous.

Watching him and his band perform some 30 years later at the MSG 911 benefit was a special treat for me. Frankly, I prefer the mature, drug free Bowie.
