Bading ako sa Amerika at nung sinabi ko sa ilang kamag anak sa Pilipinas na bading ako, agad-agad iniisip nila na magaarteng "bakla" na ako; meron pa ngang nagtanong kung kelan ako mag papapalit ng ari. I hope this presupposition does change and Indie films like this are definitely ways to open people's minds. I hope to see more films like this in the mainstream media.

I really love this movie. I don't care kahit ripoff lang siya or what. Tsaka paano niyo naman nasigurong ginaya nga nila yung story nung Eternal Summer na yun/ Aminin niyo naman o hindi, overrated na ang tema ng kabaklaan. Basta na appreciate ko yung movie - maganda yung story, nakaka relate ako at punong-puno ng simbolismo. Not to mention ang cute ni Ken Escudero no!

What makes me sad is this is a poor replica of Eternal Summer...a taiwanese film. It saddens me that it was not really able to live up to what it should deliver and just merely banking on the nude and sex scenes.

I still have to see a real Filipino digital movie that is well crafted and acted.

I suggest the Masseur which was shown in the Toronto International Film Festival. It is a story about the life of a struggling masseur and used a lot of symbolisms and metaphors. I am still awestruck at the fact that it was done with a digital camera, I was told.

Tickets can be bought at the theater entrance at 100 pesos only.

Regular screening will still have to be confirmed. Target theater is Robinson's indieSine in Ortigas on December.
