  • i replaced my old processor and the pc is no turning on

  • thanks, my backup computer just had the 7beebs of death. ""replace the microprocessor" I didnt know it would be so easy. thanks again

  • Can i change my Amd le 1940 to Quad Core AMD Phenom X4 9600 2.3GHz plss reply

  • my laptop broke i took a used one with a slow processor didnt run smooth in 480p in full screen i put the one out of the broken one and now i can play fullscreen 1080p smoothly

  • sir, i am new to this things and I wanted to know if I replaced my video card with a new one. Will it increase the ghz?

  • @LegoCityShow depends what you mean by ghz do u mean in the video card or processor or ram etc

  • @batty251 ghz in the processor

  • @LegoCityShow no it dosent the only way u can increase it is getting a different ghz frequency processor of same thing as in u get a i5 processor 2500k at 3.3 ghz u their are more then one processor of the same processor i5 2400 2500 and but if u cant get a new one best thing to do is to overclock your cpu to do that you use your bios to change the frequency but you have to change the voltage to your cpu to match your new frequency but make sure u have enough power in ur psu and

  • @LegoCityShow make sure your motherboard can support it and psu means power supply look up videos to see if you find one that shows you how to overclock your specific cpu but if u or any 1 else that sees this is running a 2 core platinum cpu should move up everything from games to ram to hdd to motherboards are all running the 1st gen and 2nd gen intel i3,i5,i7 cpu and should upgrade because even nxt year a newer bunch of intel processors are comming out if ur got the 2 core platinum u gotta up

  • @batty251 thanks

  • must you always update your BIOS?

  • if i change the processors will i loose any of my computer's memory?.....

  • @imperialsoul thats why ram is called memory your memory is stored on your ram your cpu just process things on your computer with out a cpu your computer wouldnt even do anything because it dosent have something to keep it moveing along which is why a cpu is called a processor because it processes things along

  • @batty251 and when i mean your memory is stored on your ram i just mean the memory like stuff other then files and cach

  • RIGHT NOW I HAVE THE PENTIUM 4 BUT IM GETTIN THE NEW CELERON SO ALL I HAVE TO DO IS THAT AND COAT IT WITH THERMAL GREASE

  • I took a piss on my motherboard annd it works better than ever!

  • he doesn`t have to put thermal paste on it

he has a pentium III cpu !!! lol !!!

  • @teo99101 u are right

  • Nice video, and all but I saw some of the comments and I am not sure if you need to apply the thermal paste or not so please tell me, and where can I get the thermal paste?

Also, I have a 6 year old Windows Xp Desktop computer, and I was wondering if I can upgrade to a new CPU without any problems. Thanks.

  • @XXXCompAssesXXX it needs the same socket. you are clearly not qualified to even open the case of ur computer

  • I miss that trumpet song, what was it called?

  • What about the thermal paste, between the processor and the heat sink, have you forgotten it.

  • can i replace with any processor ?

suppose i have dual core, can i change it to a core 2 duo?

if yes how to kow whether it supports or not?

  • @MultiFifaDude your motherboard?

    what is the name?

  • @MultiFifaDude thats depends what socket do you have on the motherboard

  • dont follow this vid!!! thermal paste should be applied between the the CPU and the heatsink! overheating garranted!!!

  • I have an old Pentium III laptop.. but its an MMC-2 socket, pretty lame

BTW you forgot the thermal paste

  • Do you have to do anything about static electricity? In some videos it says you have to wear something so you dont damage the CPU with your body... Or you dont have to do anything?

  • i have one of these old cpu´s xD

  • i got a laptop with 644mhz cpu :D but i dont use it its crap lol

  • I like the song

  • PENTIUM !!! was the best : )

    Pentium III 1000 Tualatin (130 nm) 1 GHz 27.6 W

  • i got my computer in 2000 but every thing in it is from 2006 and up lol

  • is easy to change processor and ram =D

  • Remove Heatsink, Undo the retaining processor bar (Holding Processor in place), Usually located to one side of the processor. Remove processor and place in the COMPATABLE new processor (Its a ZIF socket, ZERO INPUT FORCE, it should just simple glide into place) Push down retaining bar, clean contacts on the heat sink and processor with VODKA or Rubin Alcahol, apply thermal paste, resit the heat sink and secure. Its plug and play but you dont want it to overheat...

  • Wow thats a realy old CPU haha i have one of them in my 1999 computer lol but they are actually some what still good what one is yours? My old computer has a Pentium 3 933MHz CPU.

  • that processor that i put in is a Intel Celeron at around 1.2GHz not bad for old :D i am currently loaning that computer to a friend though

one i took out was a Pentium III @ ~800MHz

  • Thats it!? just plug and play? i thought it be harder!

  • that song turned me on!

  • so you don't need to squirt in that Arctic Silver paste or anything?

  • they recommend it, i never do, but remember, the processors i am using in this video are not high speed, this particular processor is aprox 1GHz,, so if anything higher than that, especially brand new ones, i highly recommend it, it will help prevent overheating

  • hng on dont u loose ur warranty if u get a now processor for ur laptop ive got a warranty on my bought my compaq laptop 1 week ago and im looking to upgrade to amd sempron 2.70ghz atm i have amd sempron 2.10 if i replace it wit the 2.70ghz one wont it void my warranty or loose it ???

  • yes if your computer is under warranty, this will void that.... best to wait till warranty is up.. or if u really want, have Compaq upgrade it... but if you want to just go and do it, go ahead... HP never knew i installed more ram in my laptop while my warranty was still valid

  • so u still got ur warranty if i put 2.70 ghz processor amd sempron into my compaq qill they notice ??/

  • if u have to send it back, they might notice... but they probably wont.... they diddnt notice the 2gb stick of RAM where a 1gb one should be

  • song is epic fail

  • This song made me poop my pants...

  • if i replace my processor, do i have to re install anything?

    operating system? anything?

    sry noob here

  • no you do not have to, only when u replace a hard drive or something, but ur not so you should be all set!

  • no not if you dont replace anything else... you can also replace memory without having to reinstall anything

  • wtf possesed you to make this song on this video?

  • LOL, i honestly dont know, i just put a random song on here when i was making it

  • Do I need to reformat after changing processor? or do i just insert it and turn it back on?

  • nope, just insert and turn it on, as long as the processor fits in the socket (which you should check before buying one) then its fine :D

  • I am currently experiencing some problems with my computer (I'm on a different computer at the moment). It's been giving me a Windows stop message even after I've completed a system recovery. I did some research and there's a possibility that there is a problem with the processor or the motherboard. How do I order the exact same processor I have now and how much is it? I don't have much money and if I can save my processor without replacing it, I would. Is there a way to do that?

  • lol the song made my ears hurt

  • haha what a gay song o.O

  • I have two PC. I want to switch thier processor. is it posible?

    PC1: pentium 4 1.8ghz

    PC2: celeron d 2.93ghz

  • try it!

  • celeron sucks

    dual core n dUO 2 core FTW+ DUO QUAD N PENTIUM 4

  • wow now thats really "how to replace a cpu 101 in 1min "min nice vid btw

  • don't you have after to reformat somethin XP , Vista or something like that

  • nope

  • XD badass song! Thanks!

  • lol the video was great, the song, even better XD

  • yo ,whats up with this song?

  • Will all processors go into any computer?

  • nope

  • So you can only replace a processor if its got a clip thing on the side? or do you have to check compatibility of power i.e voltage, or any components?

  • WOOOHOOOO pentium 3!!!!! sick song man!!!

  • love the song!!!!!!!!

  • what with the drivers then do i have to install a new driver to??

  • if it is the same type of processor, socket type, then it shouldnt need a downloaded driver...

  • @mattsuzanna1992 hey i wanna change my processor so now i have a AMD Sempron(tm) processor 2600+ 1.60 Ghz so i wanna to change into Intel celeron(tm) 2.4 GHz !! can i change it ?? pls reply

  • @MrTonii95

Sorry, No. If you have an AMD processor, then it has to stay AMD. Unless if you get a new motherboard that's Intel compatible.

  • @gggt59vke4 You might have to update your bios, but that would be all you;d have to do.

  • @WickedSteak the only time you would go to ur bios after you installed a new cpu is to just check if its working and to overclock it your bios is your motherboard what ever updates have done to the bios would be either in the hard drive or ssd or motherboard idk where bios is kept but processors do not store stuff on them they just process stuff

  • @batty251 I'm talking about BEFORE you put in a new processor. I had to update my bios before replacing my pentium d with a core2duo otherwise it would not have worked. Bios are stored in the motherboard. The processor sits in the motherboard, therefore your mobo should be updated.

  • Dude ... what's up with the song, man??? :D :D LOL

  • @AmericanRiviera i know its awesome addictive

  • wtf is that song

  • HAHAHA!!! LMAO WTF here to!!

  • thats fucken retarded but I want it

  • idk its exact name, i got it from Christmas Utah's website, from one of their Christmas light shows... the video is called "Bernies flight of the Christmas tree" so lets go with that as the song name ;)

  • It is hard to see what you're doing.

  • thanks for telling me, i will re-do it soon

  • can i change my intel dual core 1,6 ghz to a intel quad core without changing the motherboard?

  • do i have to change my mother board so i can change my CPU???? i have a dell dimension 4400 its on Intel Pentium 4 2.00Ghz I'm changing it to Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz 1333MHz 12MB 45nm CPU

  • yes, the CPU should say what socket type it needs, if your motherboard doesnt have that same exact kind, then you need to get a new motherboard

  • you forgot to apply thermal grease on top of the cpu.

    ENJOY YOUR OVERHEATED CPU!

  • I worked as a computer engineer and never did that when building a computer.

  • I have a Compaq Presario F756NR Notebook PC with Vista. I want to replace my 1.9 GHz AMD processor (the full name is too long) with another one that's above 2.0 GHz (Maybe 3.0 GHz). What would you say about this? I'm gonna try to ask this to the Geek Squad as well just to make sure.

  • AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor TK-57

    (512KB L2 cache, 1.9GHz)

HOw about my Acer Aspire 4520

    1.90 GHZ

    768 MB RAM

    XP

Can I Upgrade mine to Quad Core? From Athlon to Intel Quad Core? If not then what is the equivalent of Intel Quad Core to Athlon?

MY Dual Core is not over clock. Mine is 1.8 Ghz T_T Most of the game Dont work! They said that The DMC4 game needs over clock cpu and 1 GM or better 2gb ram. If I upgrade my Ram then its still useless ryt? Not even working in PCSX2 T_T

  • well, you CAN'T put a Intel in an Original AMD computer. so you would have to get the AMD Opteron, BUT FIRST you have to find out your socket type, you can do this b downloading CPU-Z and it will show you exactly what socket type to buy.

  • the music made me laugh

  • LOL same

  • THANK U mattsuzanna 1992 i love u for posting this video. Now i won't be scared anymore to touch my cpu.

  • no problem :D

  • SERIOUS! thanks alot mattsuzanna! i knew how to replace everything on my CPU BUT the processor! i was always scared that i was gonnabreak it or something. My friend told me once u remove it, the processor wont work anymore or something like that and that you need to glue it or something? i dunno but thanks alot hahaha

  • hey tell me where i can get that music at?

  • Looks easy enough for me! I might be doing this in the next few years, good to know how it'd turn out.

  • The music drove me insane! But I liked the video, it was pretty cool.

  • next dont put annoying music

  • Cool, thanks for the vid. Looks so easy. How do I know if a new processor is compatible with my motherboard? Will it burn out if I use the wrong processor or will it simply not fit into place?

  • that is the gayest music i ave ever heard thx a lot now i am scared forever!

  • uh, ok dont know why ur scared but ok

  • cause it sounds like 20 asain women getting brutally raped and murdered

  • uh, ok

  • no cooling paste?

  • na, like it gets that hot anyways. besides, there is still some on the bottom of the heatsink

  • lol

  • lol

  • lol

  • lol
