Two of my favorite things combined into one video. Favorite comedian ever, plus I have seen every episode that he talks about in this episode multiple times. Granted, The Simpsons was brilliant until about season 10 or 11. Then they weren't as consistent as they used to be. But still, I have almost all seasons on DVD leading up to season 11 and still watch them everyday.
All shows run out of ideas, but the simpsons has remained fresh, quite the achievement. It s story lines are a bit worn out, I think due to their need to satisfy individual characters within the show to have a back story (not all characters are interesting), they go into formulaic story mode. Rather than clever social commentary like they used to.
One of my favorite moments is durring the ep. when the school was segragated by gender. In one scene, a thought cloud filled with numbers and math symbols appears over Lisa whial she is having a dilema. First, a >\= sign says, "You can be greater than or equal to boys". Then an eight says, "Even though you're only 8 [it rotats to make an infinity sign], your possibilities are ENDLESS. " Then a 27 in the corner says, very enthusiastically, "TWENTY SEVEN!"
I'm a little disapointted he doesn't mention that the humor of the simpsons is changed. The last seasons appeared are not simpsons-worthy except for the ricky GErvais episode. That's why they asked him in the first place , the writers are really out of ideas !
What? He says it's not a kids show. Anyone who watches just one part should realise it as well, just because it's animated it's not really for kids. Kids cannot understand the humour. Ricky says this, hence my first comment.
You've got to admit though, that the Bartman was a childish pile of old shit. I can understand why anyone would mistake this for a kid's show if they had only seen that.
It was when Bart was the main appeal for the show, it is quite disgusting looking back, but I'm ashamed to say I enjoyed it at the time, not heavily, I was just a kid and it did appeal to kids. So yeah I agree with you Scarran.
I didn't have Sky when I was a kid, so the Bartman was the only thing I was exposed to, and yes, I liked it too dammit. He was like Dennis the Menace only funny. Then you grow up and realise that Homer is the man.
This episode was really bad, one of the worst Simpsons ever.

The Simpsons has been rubbish for over 10 years now.
Great in its heyday, and now well ast its use-by date - and no end in sight.

I didnt enjoy Rickys episode but You cant blame him for ruining the simpsons; the creators did that by streching it out for 15+ years

i certainly think its declined in quality over the last 7 or 8 years.

I see he's one of those sucked in to believing that The Simpsons is a kids show. Something it is not, never has and never will be.
