Thumbs up for the great parenting skills at 0:27! You would think people would have more common sense than to let their 5-10 year old children jump in freezing water.
I've done the Polar Plunge for 12 years here in Va. For those who think that it is an insane, brainless thing to do.......once you look into they eye's of the Special Athletes that attend the event.....you'll know what its for....and you too will be hooked.
Jumping into 30 degree water that feels like a thousand knives stabbing you has got to be the most insane, psychopathic, dangerous, torturous, and brainless thing to do!!! How could anyone possibly want to do anything like that? Especially those that know about the Titanic and the fact that the ocean water was about that same temp when the ship hit an iceberg and sank, and 1,500 people actually died in that frigid water!
@triton115 After being stuck in there for several hours, against their will, without the ability to say "Screw this, I'm getting out." This is completely different. That's like comparing being put in an oven and living in the desert.
keep on doin ur stuff :D

@triton115 There are major differences between the sinking of RMS Titanic and the Polar (Bear) Plunge.
RMS Titanic:
(1)shipwreck victims
(2)"plungers" in the water over an hour before rescue
Polar (Bear) Plunge
(1)done for a good cause, and (yes) fun
(2)plungers in the water for a minute or two at most
(3)people in China and Russia swim in cold water all the time So this is completely different from Titanic.
