Boy, this is a real old one. Ralph Stewart! It was always funny seeing Van Impe. He was a rough, tough player, but he looked like a quiet dignified businessman dressed in a hockey uniform. You'd say "how'd that guy get out there?" But he could play.
Van Impe might be a nice guy but when he played with the Flyers he was one dirty fucker.... look at this fight... first Van Impe tries to take Nystrom's head off with his stick then he pulls on Nystrom's hair the whole fight... cowardly broad street bully
@classicNHLfights I don't think Van Impe was trying to hit Bobby with his stick, it was just the way his hands were tied up and the pushing around made it look like his stick was coming down on Bobby intentionally.
@SCROGY intentional or not... Van Impe was a dirty old slob and it's fun to watch when he's getting the worst of it. He's lucky Nystrom didn't really tee off on him.
