  • Best cartoon EVER!!! Love this song so AWESOME!

  • Of all the bargain bin classic cartoon tapes I was raised by, this was my favourite! Well, of the ten or so I've been reminded of lately. There may lbe another contender lost in the fog. Thanks, @junoluver . You've done a good thing with these uploads!

  • Best cartoon ever!

  • My Grandma had a tape where they put old Max Fleischer cartoons to Beatles music. This was the cartoon where they made the music video to "Let it Be"! I have no idea if she still has the tape or not, but I've been wanting to see the original cartoon for years! And here it is!

  • So how did he get his feet all soaking wet if they live underwater o_o

  • Every kid in the early 1960's saw this one on tv , but in b/w, unless you were rich and could afford a color set in those days. And even if you had a color set , you probably still watched this one in b/w, only a few stations had color programs. First time ive seen this in color for 50 years!

  • I read online that Jack Mercer was Small Fry's voice. He lived January 13, 1910 – December 4, 1984 and was an American animator, storyman and voice actor. He is best known as the voice of cartoon character Popeye. He info is on wikipedia...

  • You ain't the biggest catfish in the deep blue sea! This is where they got the ideas for the buildings on Spongebob Squarepants.

  • Those fish are going to hell for doing that to a small kid.

  • Gosh, I used to have this on a VHS tape xD! So this is how I came across the video. I am a staff member on CollecToons and we were thinking about what to name the newest plaque. We have a plaque called "Hot Chicks" with a chicken on it so I was thinking, "Small Fry" for a guy with a fish on it... and then I was like... "Smalllll Fryyyyy...." singing xDD and then I was like, "Wait a min....." *Googles* Oh, I'm 22 now xD :p but I gotta say, "Somewhere in Dreamland" is my favorite, no doubt!

  • max fleischer was a very talented soul!

  • Oh Man. I remember enjoying this and singing the song "Small Fry" to myself even decades later. I must be a fish or something... (Classic tune....classic cartoon)

  • You ain't the biggest catfish in the deep blue sea!

  • o we always loved this one so much,, thanks for postin, awesome*)

  • Loads of people, including me,first learned the song Small Fry from this cartoon.I was surprised to hear it later on on one of my mother's old records.

Kudos to musical director Sammy Timburg.

  • I have this cartoon on a yellow VHS called "Fabulous Cartoon Funnies" that is 6 hours long. It has other cartoons like 'An Elephant Never Forgets' , 'All's Fair at the Fair', 'Gabby' and practically all of those in the related section ------->.

  • omg effin classic. Me and my sis used to watch this over and over on vhs back in the day. Thanks for uploading...meeeemories lol :)

  • Someone here is fascinated by the ability to smoke under water...

I'm fascinated by the ability to wash their hands with running water from a tap...

Well, actually, no. I'm fascinated by this really cute cartoon. Poor Small Fry. :)

  • "Oh me, oh my, small fry"

It is so easy to get that one line stuck in your head. xD

  • I have this as a ringtone, if you want a copy email me on youtube with ur cell number and I can send it over. I was born in 1974 & this cartoon was still on in reruns when I was growing up. (I live in NJ). My television channels were mostly based out of NY... I think it was run on channel 11 or 5 in my area.

  • I used to hate being called "Small Fry" when I was a kid. Even being called "Average Fry" might have been better; "Humongous Fry" or "Enormous Fry" I wouldn't have fooled myself, but even "Big Boy" said in a nice way would have been better than "Small Fry."

  • This was one of my favorites as a kid on VHS! Ha ha thanks!

  • @OffTheScales

Hah! I had this on VHS too, it was a favorite of mine.

  • This brings me back.

  • hahaha finally! now im 21 hahaha

  • I'm fascinated with the fish's ability to smoke cigarettes underwater.

  • @jeffreyparis At least he doesn't have to worry about LUNG cancer.

  • @jeffreyparis Anything is possible in a cartoon!

  • @jeffreyparis That just raises further questions!

  • @jeffreyparis Ever heard of an UNderwater Volcano?

  • Watched this in NYC 1960's , it was on alot in the late 1950's and early 1960's. We all watched it in B/W in those years, it was one of those cartoons you never forget, like '' I love to singa '' another classic. Just type it in ,and enjoy it.

  • I watched this as a kid and loved it. PB&J and old cartoons made being at home sick worthwhile.

  • @bleuwinterwolf Look for BOY MEETS DOG - that's the actual title.

  • @biryanifan I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I have been looking for this cartoon for over 10 years!!!!!

  • @bleuwinterwolf Hah! Glad to be of service! (Extra info: BOY MEETS DOG was originally made as a commercial film for toothpaste—thus all the tooth care references. Lantz also issued a "non-commercial" version, though, which is the one we see today; actual plugs for toothpaste removed, but an unusual focus on teeth remaining in an otherwise unrelated story!

  • @biryanifan Well that makes sense why it has so much dedication to teeth! LOL Wow...I cannot believe this..it made my day!!

then she started talking about modern cartoons make people want to shoot cops...
