It WAS insane to try it, it does sort of work, the Hendrix. This kind of skinning the cat in a new way requires more of an individualized vision. I wouldn't have believed it, but a really effective, even moving version of the Cyndi Lauper song "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" was done by the cast of Glee (the TV show) on a recent broadcast; considering it was sung by boys, which in the plot of this episode was in support of the lesbian girl, and sung as a ballad, it was quite amazing.

Well done, but I do have one issue: You played it in the wrong (different from Jimi's version) key. It's supposed to be in C# minor, but you played it in C minor. I have no problem with playing songs in different keys, but if you say that you are playing Jimi Hendrix's version on the piano, there really is no performance-based or creativity-based reason to change the key. It makes it sound... off. However, you played it fairly well.

Yeah covering Hendrix on piano is pretty insane, as you write in the description and no one but you could probably have made it work.

And Hendrix was pretty insane too, especially in his playing. So in some weird way this seems fitting.

And I actually think Hendrix would appreciate people doing his music and remembering the mark he made on music.
