  • Need help. How do I wipe the hard drive of my hp mini 1000, and re install windows, theres no place for cds so how do i install windows xp ? It got infected with " System Check " virus.

  • @JDrosa1982 I think the unit comes with a recovery partition you hopefully should be able to boot off of, otherwise there is a way to load XP from an SDcard, but when I did it 3 or 4 years ago it was a huge pain. These days if I need to load an operating system on that computer I just load Windows7 on it, as win7 is really easy to get to boot off an SD card compared to XP. Google is going to be your best bet here, good luck!

  • how do i install a graphics card into a hp mini idk where the graphics card is located nor what it looks like

  • as does the sim card entry. please my hp mini 110-1040LA is

  • @zero232614 I have no idea, sorry.

  • as does the sim card entry. please my hp mini 110-1040LA is

  • how much cost the keyboard please!!!!

  • can you replace the processor?

  • how to put disc in ap hp mini?

  • How do you remove the keyboard?

  • @DARKinTUBE Read the info, go to the other video I made.

  • where can i buy the video card that plays 1080p videos and what is it called??

  • Hey for hp mini user's, I updated to windows 7... much faster!

  • @262728Danny1 I believe so, yea.

  • I find this video pointless destroying your damn netbook and opening for a dumbass reason -.-

  • @TheLegendaryCynthia The netbook still works, but thanks for your delightful insight. You're a cherry.

  • @kepsux

Can i add 2 GB memory on HP Mini 110 ???

  • @AleksandrosBr yep yep yep!

  • @AleksandrosBr yess

  • @TheLegendaryCynthia

He disassembled, not destroyed the netbook. Getting 1080P on a netbook a dumbass reason?

  • @Speedtospare Yep.

  • Is it possible to replace a hard drive in this notebook? HP told me that they don't carry the part though.

  • @Shorty20122012 I have a 500GB drive in mine. Any SATA 2.5 inch laptop drive should work without a problem. Check newegg.com for reasonable prices if you are in the states. I also have a video showing how to remove the hard drive, search my videos for it if you need.

  • does this one has 16 gb cause i need to know if the HP 1030NR can be upgraded to a 120 gb HD???

  • @exodiakingofcards This has a standard SATA laptop harddrive in it. I have no idea what yours is capable of.

  • yeah... im affraind of destroying the plastic with screwdrivers and such, the mini is my wife´s computer so... she´ll probably kill me!

her´s is the series 1000, it came with 1 giga ram, 80 giga hdd, windows xp...

  • do you, by any chance, knows how to disassemble that plastic protection over the display?

  • @allan210381 I think you're talking about the plastic casing around the LCD. I have not taken it apart on this unit, but I've looked at it just now and it seems to be the type that you just slowly pry apart with even pressure as you go along. It's nerve racking but I can't recall ever actually breaking anything doing such a procedure on other laptops.

  • @kepsux I have a mini from brazil, i think it is a liltle bit different than yours, it has a transparent plastic along with the "black piano" casing around the lcd, the plastic goes over the lcd (for protection)... my sister was using the computer and killed an ant on the screen, the problem was that the bug was in the other side... i managed to insert a piecer of paper there and took the ant out, but there´s still a stain there...

  • @allan210381 Oh, hahaha, yea, I don't think mine has the same protective cover you're referencing. Bad news for the ant. Good luck getting it open, normally just take a good long slow look at it to make sure there aren't any screws or anything (there aren't on mine's screen section) and then slowly pry it apart. The tricky part is not messing up the plastic too bad if you have to use a flathead screwdriver to get it all apart.

  • Just got the 110, any other cards you think might be compatible?

  • @letterpool I have no idea.

  • @kepsux well, that isn't quite the answer I was looking for......

thx anyhow, and cool vid =)

  • thnks for nothing fool.

  • hi kepsus, I have already disassembling my minilap and i cant find the way to reset bios, do you know how?

  • @aquaman3383908 Hahaha, lols.

  • Can you replace the screen? because i have one but the LCD screen is broken and need to be replace but i can't find any screws to unscrew for the screen part

  • Soo cute :D I like those small pieces but they should be more powerfull :D

  • @KD8NCL No, it does not. But interestingly there is a little slot for a SIM card in behind the main battery.

  • @KD8NCL Actually, I can't do a "how to" right now. I'm traveling in asia long term and don't have the means to rip apart the netbook while I'm not at home, haha. By the time I'm home this thing will be obsolete!

In the PCI-e slot of my unit is a Broaddcom HD decoder card, by the way.

  • I am looking to install one of those in mine too but I don't know if I will still have Wifi.

  • y would u think the insides would look deferent if it was running xp are linux

  • @sd9800 I didn't say it did. I wanted to make sure people understood the exact model number I had opened in case it mattered to anyone. What's the problem with providing detailed information?

  • wow,i have also an HP Mini 110-1020NR netbook just like yours,

  • Why would you rip a Laptop up? Seriously, why would you do that?

  • @121TheMax ...because I could put it back together? I guess I'm just not a tard.

  • hi bro ...please you can tellme what is the model from that wifi target... i need one for my hp mini.. becouse is so bad my wifi target... pleaseeeeeee¡¡¡¡¡

  • how do you remove the keyboard from the laptops....the part that where there was a cable like attached to the main board

  • does anyone know where they give you as step by step guide on how to disamble the hp Mini 1154 NR model, I guess its basically the same as the one in this video. But I would like to know where the screws are to open the thing up. are they behind the little rubber feet, I need to replace the HINGES because both have come out and I have 2 little screws , I would like a step by step instruction before I take it apart and break it

  • why u dont tech us. how did u put it out the key board ,,,,,

  • I own a HP mini with Windows XP. Can you upgrade the wifi card? What issues or potential problems should I be aware of if I decide to upgrade the wifi card? Thanks.

  • I assume you can, but I'm not sure why you'd want to aside from doing packet sniffing on a windows box. I don't have much advise otherwise though, sorry!

  • did that mini have the 3g modem in it and where was it, what card or chip was it?

  • It has a small slot for a SIM card that is easily accessible when you remove the battery. Aside from that, I know nothing at all about it or how it works.

  • i know that if you have a mini with 3g the mini pci slot ( shown here in the video ) is filled with a wwan card.

i have a mini 110 1010sd and the pci slot in that model is empty. so you need to choose between the HD decoder or the 3g modem. you can't use them both.

  • "So, turns out that that card did NOT work with the system." which card? did u change the card or adding a card? learn how to make proper review r u stupid?,anyways thx that u opened the mini so i can see the harddrive

  • Uh, read the rest of the description you fucking moron. I could not possibly be more detailed answering the exact question you have. You are a typical youtube user and thus are totally retarded. "lern how 2 type with all the leterz on teh keybroad and evn us3 teh shift key lol"

  • what card is it and why did u change it ?r u stupid?just answer it sir

  • i'd put this card in mine as well and it works perfectly.

i didn't got screws either so i used one from the hdd.

also i put a ssd drive in it and 2gb ram and it runs pretty fast now.

  • Yea, the machine has been pretty good to me. I've been doing a lot of HD video editing with it while traveling in asia and it's been great. Even dropped the netbook in the ocean once while getting off a boat and it's fine! Whoops!

  • what os do you use i'm runnig windows 7 ultimate 32bit. workt great.

  • do anybody have the link to purchase the hd accelerator

  • cool you ar smart that will take a long time

  • One more question... Is there a major difference between the 70010 and 70012? which one did hp use?

  • Hey. I just ordered the 110 (got a certificate from verizon for 299 for a netbook) I had a tough time deciding what extras to get. I ended up getting the hd screen and wifi/bluetooth card. I however did not get the hd video accelerator. I was wondering if you had the part number for the Broadcom hd video accelerator?

  • @tyer28 They refer to it as a BroadCom BCM70010/BCM70012 . Make sure you get the mini-pci-e version as they do make it in different slot types.

  • Thanks a lot! Maybe I'll get lucky and find one on ebay. Can't wait for the mini to come!

  • Excellent video ! I'm not sure how to dismantle the keyboard. How can I do that ? Can you post any video or write here a few lines. I'm sure there must be a video here in youtube but I can't find one that helps me.

  • @cristianbr1 There are screws behind the battery you take out, then the keyboard just pops up. I'm traveling and cannot make another video.

  • does it come with the wwan card installed already? iv been trying for a few hours not to get it to work and nothing.

  • Can you add a wifi/bluetooth module in the pci slot? and will it work?

  • No idea, but the netbook has built in wifi so not too sure why you'd need that. I think it can be ordered with bluetooth from HP, but you'd have to check with them.

  • dude how do i take this peice of crap laptop apart

  • this hp mini needs sodimm ddr2 ram? or just a ddr2 ram for dimm port? please I need to know

  • SODIMM

  • thanks a lot, now i know that my minilap needs sodimm, owe you one!

  • also known as pc2 5300 ddr2 ram

  • You dont have to remove anything to add the HD card.

  • is the card on the bottom left the wifi card?

  • I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is. Sure looks like it.

  • ok, because i want to take apart my hp mini 110 to install the HD decoder, but not if I have to give up my wifi

  • does the hp mii 110 have bluetooth ?

  • Yep. Bluetooth and wifi; or at least mine does. Not sure if KePSuX does.

  • r u sure you have the mini 110 , not the 1000

  • Mine does not, but it may be an option on HP's website.

  • And I have a slightly older mini 110 than KepSux, and mine does have bluetooth; I turned it off in the bios as I don't really have a use for it now.

  • I just received this netbook today after waiting about 3 weeks. I purchased the increased resolution screen and the HD video accelerator like the one in this video.

Unfortunately when I try playing HD video on youtube it becomes incredibly choppy, probably 0.5 fps. Are you having this issue as well?

  • HD video on youtube is NOT rendered by the decoder card until Adobe releases a version of flash that knows how to utilize it. The only HD video that will playback is video you play with the Arcsoft Media suite included with the netbook.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow what a bummer. Any idea when Adobe will release that?

By the way HP customer service IS terrible, they did not tell me this. Its sad that I have to rely on user experience for answers when these so called "HP techs" consider themselves experts.

  • Wait a sec., how can you return the mini Mi after you have taken it apart?? Do they accept it while it's still working?.

  • I didn't break it dude, I just took it apart. I didn't break any warranty seals as they didn't have any. I was refunded 100% and they even paid for the shipping.

  • Great! I bought one recently, and would like to do the same, but don't know if I'm in the period allowed, or if I can do it, cause I'm not from US.

  • Oh! BTW where can I buy a Broadcom video-thingy????? I'd love to watch more videos!!

  • Hehe... I have bought mine yesterday and i've put the 2GB RAM and i have to say is GREAT! thank you for the info!

  • Well its 512 MB cus i'm livin' in Mexico, LOL w/e thanks for the info, i'm goin to buy the mine. I'm really grateful 2 u THANK YOU!!!!

  • i can deduce that the slot is in the back part of the mini, its cus im goin to buy 1 with 512mb o RAM but i have th "Power Stick" could u post the place of where the RAM is? if its not too much annoyin 4 u plz! BTW Thanks a lot1!!!!!!

  • It's a standard laptop RAM slot on the back. THere is a door to get into it. I don't think HP sells a version of this netbook with 512 megs though, so good luck with that. Also keep in mind it will max out at 2GB.

  • I have a couple of questions emmm.... can u upgrade the ram of this one like the ho mini note 2140??? and the stuff u put on it it was an ssd or the video accel?

  • It has one RAM slot, you can put a 2 gig stick in it, but it requires the removal of the 1 gig you may have ordered with it. I put a video accelerator in it, I know nothing about the SSD.
