Grrr,......Monika sings this SOOOOOOO much better!!! Ailyn just lacks power, the ballsy, badass sound. I'm still trying to figure out how this chick became a metal singer. She looks more like an Abercrombie model stuck in goth clothes, dark eyes and pale makeup......sorry, but, I smell a POSER!!

I agree with other posts I've seen on here--Monika just wasn't right for Sirenia. Ailyn is way, way better.

Ailyn is up there with my favorite symphonic metal singers like Tarja and Floor.

Monika didn't fit well with the band, but she is a good singer with a decent range. Ailyn sucks. She has to strain and whine her way through the songs and she has no stage presence. People like her because she's hot.

Think Ailyn does a fairly good job here, Monica was nowhere as good live as the studio recordings. My "favorite" live vocalist from Sirenia is Henriette though (to my knowledge, Fabienne never did a live performance).

Fabienne didn't do any live performances. She was never really considered a member of the band, either, (session member) even though she sang on an entire album. I think she's my favorite as far as the recordings go, though. Henriette is my second favorite, and Monika is a really good singer, but I didn't think she fit well with the band. Still, I miss her now that they have Ailyn, who sucks.

Well I agree. You can't watch video that was shot by average handycam and give opinion about how somebody sounds like... I was watching even Nightwish (while Tarja was still singing) videos shot with handycam and they sucked too... You have to go to concert and listen to someone than give your own opinion :=)
