  • The guy below me is stupid :)

  • Thank god there's no death metal in this video. I don't know why, but whenever I watch a metasploit tutorial on youtube, there always seems to be death metal.

  • I got really into this once, when i discovered that the exploits that gets loaded into framework rarely works on the average PC (which is updated and patched). I then looked into Offensve Security in which I found a HUGE database for exploits. new ones were being uploaded every day. I then discovered that all the exploits have been tampered with to prevent script kiddies like myself from using them. the flaw is obvious to anyone with proper knowledge but this and finding out how to execute....

  • @blacksiddis these exploits through metasploit destroyed my will power to learn about all this.

  • @blacksiddis Same here. I find it annoying how much security professionals seem to hate security non-professionals. What really got me was when I tried to get an answer to a simple question and people seemed to think that the fact that I had to ask that question made me unworthy of an answer. I guess IT security people like being ub3r l33t h4xx0rz with their special knowledge that no one else can have.

  • @ross817 Yea well i found out that most of the answers you need are on the internet, it's just a matter of reading the right material. Also I started learning programming. Maybe in 5 years or so I can write my own exploits? LOL

  • @ross817 what fucking pisses me off is that they think everyone is a god damn script kiddie .... that no one is trying to learn. wtf am i supposed to do if i dont know where to start. and also its not like those "1337 never hacked a system either ...... fucking hate this shit. i think they just bathe in their own shit too much.

  • @ross817 I agree MOST people are like that but not all.. I myself am going into IT Security and would have no problem telling someone how something is done... I think the issue is alot of people use these tools to do malicious things and they get it into their heads that, that is all the person wants to do... Ex: I had someone begging me to teach them how to crack a wep key... He swears that he just wants to learn and wont break the law... then he goes and breaks into a bunch of systems... Uh :/

  • @pspheaven Thanks for the response. I actually had no idea there were people like that, but that's probably because my exposure to this sort of thing has been through youtube videos and forums and things. Somehow it hadn't occurred to me that they were afraid I might use those skills for evil.

I think the best way for me to learn about information security is wait until I have the skills required to take a college-level class. (I'm sixteen right now so adjusting to college is a new challenge.)

  • I get an error trying to inport a .nessus file. says "Cannot read NESSUS file". Im using Nessus 4.2. Can anybody help??

  • @tomo9011 wtf? thats like saying, how do you set up apache with nmap

  • thanks man with this video i managed to successfully not only run the autopwn tool but 7 exploits got through to the target (which is an old XP computer with no updates so forth, its mine dont worry) this is the first time i actually managed to hack into a computer remotely thanks a lot

  • can't open "db_driver"

  • me to i can't open db_driver

  • @rasbleosm you probably havent started the the database yet.

  • @blacksiddis how ?

  • @rasbleosm now its db_driver sqlite3

db_connect client "NAME" I think. you can also just open the msfconsole and type help. it will show you all the commands.

  • .nickto in /pentest/web/nikto

    scan webpages for exploits

  • @cyberjackcyberjack Noob question but are you able to use autopwn feature after scanning a website for vulnerabilities?

  • @cyberjackcyberjack Never mind that was a stupid question.

  • man i cant open db_driver

  • nice tutorial. quick nub question..

whats the best / easiest tool for identifying your target IP?

Ive got so many different programs but end up putting card in monitor mode and using 'airodump-ng' when im using BT3 live CD. So many diffent tools onthe CD.
