As an experienced user of photoshop, I understand your intention of relating to beginners how to utilize a clipping mask but your 'selection' was so horrid that your objective was overshadowed by your inept selection. Try again but next time be much more careful or thorough with your selection process. Don't make novice mistakes when trying to teach or display your your talents to other novices. My two cents...take it or leave it.

How do you clip

To clip click the layer you want behind the selection in this case you would select the layer of "Tokyo" and hald down the alt button, hover between the two layers you want to be clipped to in this case the "Car" layer, and then click, this should then push the top "Tokyo" layer behind the car... hope that makes sence

As a certified Photoshop CS3 instructor i really think this is not a good way to show off a creative idea. If one of my student showed me this I would have failed this student within a blink of an eye. I am very sorry but you really need to learn more on the basics.
