  • Man, I don't see how you can say you loved using Luigi in this game. He has got to be the most awkwardly-contolled character in the history of gaming. Years and years of playing this game, and I NEVER could get used to him.

  • 0:58 If you listen closely I think you were gonna say something but you cut away from it

  • World 4-3: The princess is also good for the shortcut.

  • do a review walkthrough for smb3

  • There's a new caption option for watching videos on youtube!

Turn them on for this video and prepare to laugh your ass off from seeing all the wrong words!

    LMAO!

  • @TheTerrificTracy big bag!

  • @54jomamma Your Face!

  • @54jomamma In the Mouth!

    That's where candy's good at!

    Candy Hole.

  • You didn't get either mushroom in 4-2.

  • You don't even have to get the Key in the World 3 Castle.

Enter the door to the right of the ladder near the locked door and you'll find yourself near the bottom of a long room with a Ninji (The jumping black thing). Pick it up and carry it up to the top where you find this high ledge.

Set the Ninji down on the platform and jump on it. Power up a super jump and when Ninji leaps up, leapfrog off of him to reach the ledge. It saves a lot of time and skips the Phanto bullshit.

  • those flurry guys are real cute but they are a pain in the ass XD

  • You use an emulator. :)

    I can easilly tell:

    (1) Multiple sprites flicker. SNES didn't do that.

    (2) Backdrop color exceeds the gameboard edges on the real thing.

On the plus side, you get sharper results!

  • @georgef551 I use an emulator mainly because it's much faster to get the game footage, especially if I have to backtrack and capture footage of something I missed, as I keep save states for every level. This isn't SNES though ;)

  • @AqualungGameReviews

    Ahh, THAT makes PERFECT sense!

Emulators definately have their strong points!

  • @AqualungGameReviews how many mushrooms can you get in this game

  • @AqualungGameReviews The snakes in vases are called "Cobrats".

  • @AqualungGameReviews oh btw in the world 2 boss (i cant remember his name) on the bottom part you can create a shield with the mushrooms so you wont get hurt when you go down i wanted to tell you that XD

  • 7:09 they're not porcupines they're hedgehogs get it sega ang nintendo lol

  • 0:17 HAPPY FACE! :)

  • Mario was always by far the most psychedelic of NES games - red mushroom with white spots - or amanita muscaria, a hallucinogenic - is the main powerup :P

  • I usually make a wall of mushrooms at triclyde in order to shield against the fireballs. It's pretty easy to pick him off that way.

  • @psyjax yeah, I did that too. Just build up a wall where the mushrooms are at, and you're safe until you're ready to attack. Damn, I loved this game!!

  • I always liked the sound the face made before it started chasing you

  • Lol, "stay sharp when dodging the spikes". :P

  • Just a little fact: this is the first game where Luigi is taller than Mario.

  • panser more like pansy

  • hey there a happy face in that jar at :17 :D

  • Awesome, I never knew about that warp at the bottom of the waterfall. And last time I faced Fry Guy I remember him giving me a lot of trouble, so I can sympathize.

  • I hated sand digging.

  • I remember when I was 8-10 years of age I enjoyed digging all the sand away from within the pyramids, and it didn't bore me.

Never wondered where all the sand went to.

  • the cool thing is that i don't have the NES version but i have the one that came out on GBA so i could use this guide thanx

  • "it's a good thing there's a bunch of whales on the surface, otherwise you won't be able to get across." LOL

  • My new favorite Aqualung quote - "Grab a potion that's guarded by porcupines...."

  • i realy fucking love this game

  • when u fight the snake, i usually build a wall, to protect myself

  • That's what I did as well.

  • Fry-Guy's not trying to kill him, it's just his way of telling Luigi to "GET TO WORK!"

  • You can also use the princess to cross that gap in world 4. It was actually a developer oversight because the original game had no b button run and so you couldn't jump far enough.

  • I love how the characters change all the time :D

  • Great review thus far, I liked the way that you suddenly added the text at the end of the stage, instead of using some random stage footage for the ending, and the cobras are called Cobrats.

  • I like how you edit together footage of all the characters playing.

I also like how you actually know all the enemy names, unlike some other reviewers I've seen. :U

  • erm no one noticed this error? at 9:28 you said use toad to float across

  • It's not an error. He said TOADSTOOL, not toad.

  • ermi mean you said use toadstool to float across but only peach can float and you show peach floating

  • no he said toadstool.back than she wasnt called peach

  • He said Toadstool as in Princess Peach Toadstool

  • oh lol... then what's the mus hroom guy's name

  • you mean toad?

  • A slight edit at 0:59?

  • I always thought those things the Shyguys were riding in world 4 were TV Cameras haha

  • You neglected to mention, or perhaps I missed it, what's up with the hearts? Are they random or are there specific steps to make them appear?

  • just lettin ya know, i think he mentioned it at part one. he said you had to kill 10 enemies to get a heart that floats up. if thats NOT what youre talking about, i feel like a jackass :)

  • Nah, I'm the jack-ass. I missed that totally! lol He did go over quite a bit though, so I'm not surprised I missed it. :)

  • haha! nah, i dont know why i even paid attention to the beginning...im usually "that zone out kid" XD

  • I enjoyed this one even more than Mario Bros 3.

  • thats a heck of a statement. was it the difficulty of 3, or the length of it or somethin else? Just wondering

  • It wasn't the difficulty of 3. I loved playing that game from start to finish without the whistles. I think I liked the uniqueness of 2. There's absolutely nothing wrong with 3 at all, but on a personal level I enjoyed playing 2 better. Maybe it's because I got 2 after I had played 3 to death.

  • Incredible editing, you can really see a lot of work was put into this.I look forward to your next review/walkthrough.
