I order from Ocado once a month and have been pleased with the system.The only problems we have ever had were broken bottles or spilled foods which could only happen once the goods are loaded in the van. I wonder if Ocado could look after it's workforce better as the system seems to be perfect for robots but Ocado needs to look at the human element and maybe the people at the top should work in each department for a month at a time to understand the problems the system creates for its workforce.

I am aware that previous testing carried out by the food tech dept showed that about 40% of all damaged items were caused BEFORE the vans left the depot.....It wont suprise you to know that the drivers still get blamed for ALL damages, it even comes out of our bonus!!!! my mate works as a driver for this company , it sounds like he is treated like shit, ocado sounds like a shit company to work for , sort it out ocado !!! your a john lewis company ,. he has been told if you complain about the routes you get worse routes the nest day............... wont be buying from them. boycott this corrupt company
I am lucky enough (I think) to have worked in the office and as a driver and even a few days in the warehouse, the slaves...sorry I mean workers get treated VERY differently to the office staff. They get paid less, much more physical work, very strict rules, no exceptions. Office staff can come in when they like, they ALWAYS get a luch break (drivers dont get a break at all) and dont have to do everybody elses work as well as their own. But I'm sure OCADO isnt the only company that does this!

However, as a driver who has been more that vocal in the past I would never dream of taking the problem out to the customer. Get behind it guys, it's about delivering the brand better than the brand, making a real difference and showing that you a worth more than you get.
