WHY do they try and justify the ending? I can't believe in the production meetings, either PF or NW genuinely sat back after reading 10.6 and said, "That's absolutely fantastic and most definitely what we wanted."

Without a shadow of a doubt, they're the greatest TV couple ever and muchos thanks for the upload. Shame Kudos butchered 8 years of H/R brilliance. :(

@43LightYears i know what you mean, and I dont think either Peter or Nicola were happy with it, they didnt mention how they felt about it in the interviews and Nicola here looked upset :'( There was an alternate ending too ;) And definatly the best couple on TV! True love is Harry and Ruth :)

I know what you mean but they are such great actors I hope there maybe a vehicle out there somewhere for them to keep the chemistry going.

@hookedonclassics :) They'll alway be great friends ;) I met Nicola a few months ago, she really loves working with Peter so I dont think we've seen the last of them working together but they could be typecast as Ruth and Harry ;)

Thanks for uploading this. I know my son has bought s10 for me for christmas so I have to wait but over the holiday I will sit fdown with a bottle of wine or two and savour every bit of it......over and over again.

I really do miss it now and although I can watch all the other dvds when I want I long for it to come back but without Ruth .. I don't know ...it just wouldn't be the same.

I love Peter/Harry Nicola/Ruth and maybe they could act together again some day...that would be amazing.

I know how you feel, I rewatched the entire series this week and it feels like there's an empty space somewhere :'(

I hope they can act together again, but I think it would hard to see them as anyone but Harry and Ruth ;) xx

Thanks so much for posting, LPTR93 - - those of us in the US don't have access to season 10 yet. I've seen enough clips to get a good idea of what happens, though. I did SO want a happy ending for Harry and Ruth, darn it!

@LPTR93 I cheated and watched clips of the ending, and you're right - - it's heartbreaking. What I found even more touching, though, was Nicola's emotional comment at the end of this extra and Peter Firth hugging her in comfort. So sweet! I know she named her little boy Harry after Peter's character, and you can see how emotionally invested she was in the series and the relationship of these characters. She probably wanted a happy ending even more than the rest of us!

@janiwi52 Awww, she certainly is, I met her back in October, and trust me Nicola is very invested in the characters, she adores Peter Firth and loves working with him, its so sweet to see them interviewed together :) And yes the ending is very heartbreaking :( There was an alternate ending which is on the DVD commentary :) Happier but still tragic
