What a miraculous reading of a beautiful piece-- thank you for sharing this. Richter's reading is expansive, soaring, and pure. I'll continue to listen to this over and over.
While it is much better in terms of audio and video quality, it actually brings forward the frequency at which hiss is heard, so it does exacerbate that problem. In addition, since it is a YT enhancement, videos lose their enhanced value when downloaded unless you can download right into an MP4 format. Downloading into any other format loses it, and converting to MP4 can't bring back what is no longer there. LOL
I cant hear any more hiss on the improve recording or the first other. whatever that little hiss is, the benefits of the improved recording supercede it. The "hissing" you speak of, probably came from the the original source (ie Richter's recording label) or from the speakers attached to your computer.
this "enhancement" is a better copy of what the poster loaded to YT. not really enhanced, just a less compressed file.
about a half year ago, Youtube started a hi-Def capaility to its videos. sometimes you will see a "higher quality" link below the YT video player (but just above the "views" number). "&fmt=18" would be added to the url, but the comments to the video were the same.
With my highspeed internet, I prefer the high-def versions and I am looking for a way to get YT to play videos high-def, all the time, without having to type it in every time.
i just posted the recording of myself playing this piece, it's on my channel if anyone happens to be interested
