@stealthdarktemplar I know, I'm with you on that! Luckily I have friends and family scattered across a few countries, so I could have backup in terms of that.

But, how would anyone manage to escape? The airport would be totalled. You'd have to get a ride into somewhere like Auckland to get a plane somewhere.

There seem to be an awful lot of people still at work during the quake especially as it happened at 3 in the morning. Also the moon must have been bright as it looks like it's daylight there. What a good there were so many cameras on hand too to record everything.

@uraldneprvw LOL - I understand your confusion but this was a tv dramatisation which screened about a year ago, and the next night the showed a how to survive clip, all made by the earthquake commission. This is Wellington the most earthquake prone not Christchurch where the recent quake happened. Welly had a few of quakes in the 19th and 17th centuries which eyewitness and geological evidence provides us with a realistic look and warning of what it would be like today.
