I generally felt that jacksons version of king kong was a huge load of soulless cgi vomit. Some of the music on the other hand, simply beautiful. And for me, a fateful meeting was the best part of this production.

Yesterday I was taking a walk. I had my parka and snowshoes, a scarf on my face and goggles on. Its like 80cm of snow here in Finland and it was minus 20C. I reached climbing over this small hill when the sun came behind some clouds. I was on a wide field where wheat is grown during the summer, but now it had 80cm of pure, white snow. I just started walking across this field that seemed endless while the sun was shining, and then this song started playing in my ipod. It was pretty breathtaking.

I agree Hugo even in smallest of notes you're simply AMAZED by how great of a composer James Newton is. To me James Newton, Alan Silvestri, Goldsmith, and the guy who composed the music for Lion King (don't know what his name is) and John Williams are the greatest composers of all time in terms of music composers for movies.
