  • This is , I guess a reference to how the premodern authors justify their work.

It is dream which impels them to some sort of agency. Of course the modern

people would have other sources of inspiration for doing Indian classics besides

the gods and godesses appearing in their dreams. I don't see the reason for hurt

here. As for Saraswati, her description in Sanskrit texts are often kind of erotic.

  • Saraswati asked him to be her lover? How absurd and arrogant.. for a mature scholar like him ! His dream will never come true for sure!

  • @MrVictoriajoy He begins by saying: "I wish it were the case..." and then, clearly, "but that did not happen."

I believe this is called irony.

  • @MrVictoriajoy He said he "wished" she came into his dream asking him to be her lover, but that did not happen. However even such a wish is arrogant. But I had to correct you as what you said is not what was said in the video.

  • @Taodharma Thanks for the correction. That is even worse! One does not have control over dreams but to wish for such a dream is perverse. It is not that he does not know such a statement will be hurtful but he is deliberately disrespectful. Hindu Gods and Goddesses are ending up as objects of sexual gratification for the Western academics! I would like to dream of the Goddess castrating these people!

  • The way the video was promoted in Twitter, is is sure to cause an intended uprising. Because the Title of the video here is different.
