I watched Top Gun last night for the first time in about 10-15 years. Still a KICK ASS flick and I reckon I enjoyed it more than ever! How many memorable scenes are there! I can't believe this track was left off the original soundtrack, but I guess they were blessed with a ton of great tracks. Top Gun, still holding up after 25 years!

this score is so beautiful and moving and it always makes me cry it will always remind me of Goose's death as well and i love this movie and the soundtrack is amazing and so very 80's and i love this soundtrack and I'm a big big fan of Faltermeyer's movie soundtracks from The Running Man and Fatal Beauty and i loved how Harold Faltermeyer composed this beautiful score he did an amazing job at this music and i love it this is my favorite score from the Top Gun soundtrack

goose shouldn't have died... that was one of the worst scenes in the movie and i never liked the scene... soo i generally skip to the part where maverick is in court, so i don't get to see all the "goose is dead" scenes. i've probably watched the movie a 100 times, and have almost always skipped that particular scene...

@bcfcjc yes you are right... but you know, you need to keep things a bit simple sometimes. it's ok that they embedded an emotionail scene... really respect that... but hey man, you need to have a limit every now and then... but i know it's sometimes not the scene directly, but every thing around it can affect it. and here, it's goose dying, and then that bastard faltermeyer with that perfect tune... it's like taking a medicine and then pop open a whiskey... it gets ya twice as hard...
